Engine Oil - Castrol Edge 10w-60

Planning my next oil change for my R34 GTT. Am previously using Q8 Formula F1 10-50W.

Was told to give Castrol Edge 10W-60 a try as it's better than the Q8?

Anyone here has any experience???

No idea about the Q8 stuff, but most of the track regulars use the Castrol 10w-60 stuff, stock to highly modified. Can't go wrong.

I guess not since a bunch of us run it for track days and daily driving and i'm yet to see any oil related issues - ie big ends etc....

Btw, I'll also be running a 13 rows Trust oil cooler. In addition, I'm located in a hot tropical climate all year round.

What oils should I be looking at??

I'll be trying the castrol 10w-60 next time I change the oil out, I been using motul oil at about twice the price but has been recommended to me to use this by a few guys here.

i've used both the motul chrono 300V 10/40 and the castrol edge 10/60. I wouldn't use anything other than the motul in a GTR any more. it's twice the price as it's full synthetic ester where as the castrol is not.

whats the castrol then? I was under the impression it was?

it's synthetic, can't remember what stock it is made from, but it's not a 100% ester that's for sure.
