Problems that need fixing:

- Passenger Seat's rear bolt has come out and needs to be replaced as the bolt that was in it was the wrong side.

- Also the passenger seat has no seat belt clip because when i got the car they had replaced the front drivers seat with an R33 seat and the buckles of the R32 dont fit into the clip of the R33, so i swaped passengers with the drivers.

I should have the seat fixed by the end of next week.

I had the car dyno tuned with the old engine and the car made 189rwkw's with the old engine but I didnt get the print out because I thought it could do alot better than that, since I have got the new engine I havn't got around to getting it done.

I would be asking for $14,500 FIRM was $15k, or swap for a R33, S13, 180SX or anything newer thats Jap

If you have any questions just PM me or post here.

Cheers, Brin.

PS I am the first Australian Owner and have always had it regulary serviced, unfortunatly I dont have the money or time to spend on the car any more now that im a student and not working a full time job. I will get some more pics of the interiour and any other parts that can be requested.

Nice 4 door, just wondering did the car come with the gtr bar already? when you bought it? If not were there any fitment probs with the gtr grill? Just asking as I'm getting mine done in a week or so.

Sorry mate the front bar was done in Japan before I imported it.

Tough car! sounds and goes really hard. The 189 kw dyno was a joke, car is capable of much much more. SAhould be able to get 240 rwkw pretty easily and safely.

Thanks Sook, yeh i just wish I had the cash to get it there ;)

i have a r33 4 door auto turbo custom plates 19s looks vip would u consider that newer

Yeh interested, could you post some info and pics please mate or if its easier email them to me at [email protected]

    • Clinton and I spoke to Alan Heaphy at length last year at the Bathurst 1000 about the Gibson GTR's that he had at the track and the restoration work that his company was involved with. He has a number of people working for him who were part of Gibson Motorsport when these cars were being built and raced. What impressed me the most was the amount of first hand knowledge and information that he and his team have about the Gibson GTR's and their meticulous attention to detail in the restoration and maintenance of these cars.
    • When you track RPM vs time it's clean, unlike the OEM one, even with filtering there are ripples. Means no random misfires or triggering issues at higher RPM, especially if you have big lift cams and a noisier valve train due to heavier springs.
    • Brake Fluid testers are cheap and readily available....eg https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/endeavour-brake-fluid-tester-rechargeable/SPO9539349.html
    • Cleaner signal so timing is more accurate at all rpm also found it to start more on first rotation but could also be I've nailed prime and crank fuel. For under $400 and 30mins of your time, its a good solution especially once the optical sensor does start to play up you won't notice it until in higher rpm and it heat soaks.
    • On a 400hp RB, what benefits other than "it's not 30+ years old" are you seeing from the NZ Wiring Kit trigger setup? If it were me going to change triggering, my belief would be to go for a crank trigger to remove the issues caused by what people claim is belt stretch etc, but that's from my understanding a much larger issue for super high power, rather than those in the 400hp and below club.
