lol, fair enough :worship: sometimes I think out loud! I know I wouldn't be doing it for them for free after paying so much out of pocket....
I also wouldn't have had the balls to follow it through in the first place.
now that you remind me i do remember the ACA story at the time about your case.

Yea it takes all that and deep pockets, the cops know that and they use it to their advantage .

When you are defending a speed fine you can't go half cocked, you have to do your research and cover all avenues, if you are to suceed. This is why when they pull you over and accuse you of speeding they just laugh at you when you say " I was NOT speeding" . The usual reply is " If you don't agree fill the back in and take it to court", because they know you can't afford to do that . They have unlimited funds ( our money, taxpayers) so they don't care .

Ah and you should have seen the grin in the cops and the prosecutors face when the magistrate convicted Mick. I would pay money to come face to face with them now, I'll bet that grin is all GONE and I hope they get ( the cops) a big kick up the arse from high up and think twice about writting a ticket in future if they are not sure .

Just because they found a young guy ( he was 22 then) driving a WRX STI they thought , GOTCHA ..... Well they bit more than they could chew , didn't they ????

Well, I have to confess that's Michael and I in the news and thats my M-spec, good work Adam.

I don't know if any of you listen to John Laws at 2UE I was on there earlier on today as well.

If you are really keen watch "a current affair " on 9 tonight . It should be on there as well but if they don't have it ready for tonight , tomorrow night .

lol i knew it was u.. just didn't know ur real name and couldn't remember ur sau name. lol

hahahha.. nice work jerry!!!!! :P Can't believe how sloppy they were in michaels case! Using visual estimation cause they didn't have him within radar for long enough... lame!

Don't think they were dopes saying that they are not relying on the silver eagle radar Mona.

They knew if they tried to rely on the silver eagle we could prove in court that it coudn't be used according to guidelines . They already knew about my case, they lost that one about a year ago.

Actually silver eagles shouldn't be used in any built-up ereas at all.

So they were smart and the magistrate went with their estimation ( he was the lame one ) when we produced evidence that Mick wasn't speeding!! So we lodged the appeal as soon as the magistrate found Michael guilty on the advice of Dennis Mirallis . I have to say that Dennis has beaten them many times over the last 3 years .

Unfortunately justice is not cheap mate, Abo bob would know .

I do indeed, from 2 sides of the cube.

Ezitrak by Rojone, the best available unit on the market..

I may ad the car was a WRX STI , no longer in the family.

And most likely in a million pieces or another country by now.

Well done, Jerry and Micheal. Almost all of the time the police have it their way. Good to see that you (rightfully) got one back on them. I hope it does help other motorists as I believe police will continue to implement the "if you don't like it, take it to court" attitude as not everyone has deep pockets.

Thanks Charlie and everyone else for the support.

Unfortunatly you are right mate, justice is very expensive, they ( H/patrol cops) know this and take advantage .

They see a young person ( and not so young, like me ) , they just write the ticket first and ask questions later .

I hate it when they make smart-ass comments like that, because they know no-one is going to take them on...

For everyone that wants to know, it wasn't on today ( they told us they maynot be ready ) because they film it early afternoon and they wanted to interview Dennis Mirallis as well as someone from the police department to give their side of the story .

I can assure you guys it will definitely be on at some stage, more than likely tomorrow .

Richard ACA is on 9 at 6:30 pm .

ahhh yeah.. fair enough! good on your guys for taking them on and proving them wrong!!! and yay for having an awesome lawyer, though it sounds like you both put in a fair amount of research too!! good combo all around! ;)

Thanks guys...

Yep...I'd love to see the look on the good Mr Cripps' face now...bet he's not so cocky now.

And Adam...I sold my old version 6 STI...I think you are thinking of dad's my02 STI that got knocked off after he sold it...it actually got recovered btw...

Oh...and I'm always happy to accept a beer...haha

Hang on I would think that if a person was incorrectly accussed why should that person have to loss so much money to prove his inosence I think the police department should cover the court costs

Mate, it should work like that but unfortunately in the real world it DOESN'T , like I said before justice can be very-very-very expensive. I have little doubt that most people would just pay the fine regardless if they are guilty or not..
