why make your car more obvious to the cops........hey i dont care what car it is.......now i know the plates and its easy to remember, same thing for thieves, keep it plain and simple just keep your current state plates

man Id love a hot rod!!

I have alot of admiration and respect for the blokes who build these cars, I know quite a few people with them, and some builds have taken more than 10 years.

Also - if you want to see some nice rods - theres a hot rod show up at newcastle over this weekend

now - back to plates....

in NSW depending on plates - its like another 180 a year to like 400 a year on top of your rego - are they that important?

Well you can get away cheaper than that by using reproduced bodies and chassis. For example, the following site has bodies for around $8000-$9000 and chassis kits which includes lots of goodies (brakes, diff, suspension, steering etc) for around $12000. Obviously works out more expensive than the $15k, but in the end it would still be cheaper than the "rusty old shell".

but should i go to sell it down the track i would get a lot more for it if it was a steel shell, instead of glass. i have seen the glass shells before. one done up with the steel shell will sell for about $80k if done nicely.

That's what I've got, I have some good ideas for some plates I would get if I wanted to, up to 9 letters in WA FTW!! My state plates are half decent anyway, ends in 000 :( One of my mates ends in 033 on his, good timing or what?
