Hi all, whats the biggest size rim that will fit on a '97 skyline r33 without any mods to springs etc? Currently have the stock 16".

Also, what do you think is the biggest size to get without making the car look ugly with oversized rims?

i wouldnt go any bigger than 19's. they fit on my 33 with a front spacers. but if i have a full load in the back and hit a big bump it slightly scuffs the guards. at full lock it doesnt rub either so i would assume with no mods that 20s wouldnt fit. 18s would be sweet for the all round package., but i just coundnt help myself with 19s :P also i have stock suspension set up. not sure of my offset but they dont stick out and a almost perfectly alligned with the body (pic doesnt look it)

post pics if ya get em!

I have seen 20's fit on r33's without modification. Its all about getting wheels with the right offset and brake clearance; Jake33 unfortunately doen't have either.

I would personally not go bigger than 19's. I have had 19's on my car for the past 5yrs, and haven't had too much issues. I am currently looking to down size my rim size to 18's, as you loose power and response with 19's, due to the larger rolling diameter.

Here is a few pics of my rims which i will soon be selling ;)

i have 19"10 and wouldnt go bigger, i have lowered it and it looks very nice, well i think so. any bigger wont look worse, but will be very ruff ride and plenty of scrubbing out...

definitely go 20s nothing pulls bitches like a set of chrome 20s on a 33..

In all seriousness though. Anything over 18 is too big imo. 34s can pull 19s and 20s as long as they are the right type of wheel. 33s end up looking like shit with anything over 18s.

not bad for a tractor..

Cant believe you guys are saying 19's are too big!!! 19s are the perfect size for 33s imo. i cant wait to get some on mine!

Most 18s look too small unless you get some nice lightweight style rims or 34gtr stockers.

I agree that 20s are too big unless your a cruiser who doesnt care about performance.

just look at a 33 gtr with 19" te37s!!! gawd lol
