yeh spot on, the quote i got was using second r34 parts, but i dont mind 6 is what i thought it would be any way, and having the painting done for free is also a help,

no doubt it will look way better on either kat's or mikey's car but meh im slowly building mine hehe

rofl negative ;)

im not doing it waste of money plus nothing beats only having 1 or 2 people with the same frontbar as mine in perth  nothings beats geniune NISMO frontbar

It's not a waste of money if its something you always wanted to do... each to their own I spose! You're gonna lose money in a car no matter what really.

Sam, nah we won't need engineers certificates, cos we're not changing the chassis - only the panels. Shouldn't be a prob at all. BUT as Kym brought up to me last night, insurance might be different.. if you have a crash and need something replaced they've got the right to say they're going to replace your front fender/bumper with standard R33. Thats NOT cool - so just don't crash

    • The offset doesn't really have anything to do with dish directly. I mean it kind of does but it also doesn't, it's only tangenial. The offset is purely how much offset (get it) the mounting face is from the CENTER of the width of the rim. I.e, the mounting face would be directly in the middle of the 9.5inches if it was a 18x9.5 ET0 rim. Given it is a +12 rim, the mounting face is 12mm further away from the center (to the outside of the car). Your fronts are +30, so the mounting face is 30mm further away from the center (to the outside of the car). I would wager this doesn't look right, because most skylines generally have the same with guards front to back. So I'd think your fronts look significantly more sunken in than your rears. I'd wager by about 18mm, or so.
    • My '96 r33 Skyline has Rota GTR, 18 x 9.5 inch, ET30 on the front and Rota GTR-D, 18 x 9.5 inch, ET12 on the rear. The 12mm offset is throwing me for a loop. Is it due to the "deep dish" design of the wheel that the offset it so low? If I were buying a set of new wheels, could I put 30mm offsets on the rear and reasonably expect them to fit? I have GTR Brembos and 370Z rotors (355mm/350mm) if it matters. Thank you.
    • here is the video, again really hard to hear but in person its very loud 20240703_175734.mp4
    • I drove my ER34 for the first time since I got it, It sat for 4 years in Japan, and i got it 7 months ago, have done a ton of work, garage test ran perfectly. (no air suction sound) BUT when accelerating (under a load) it makes a loud air suction sound, or anytime I get into the throttle...it sounds like a leaf blower. I also noticed that it did not seem to have very decent pull or power, and the boost gauge doesn't seem to go much above 0,  its stock other then full exhaust, apex intake, 50/50 bov and front mount intercooler. this is my first Turbo car so I don't know if this is correct? I did take a video but for some reason it is very hard to hear in the video, in person it literally sounds like some one has a leaf blower under the hood...my first though was a leak?? however I have check over all lines, clamps, hoses and fittings.   thoughts?
