i just went out and bought a screw in nipple for my fmic piping, now what do i do? do i just drill a hole and screw it in? or will i have to do other stuff aswell to prevent leaks etc,

i did a search for fmic nipple but came up with nothing, there are 100's of just fmic threads but dont quit explain it properly.

any help appreciated :D

yeh ok i just done it, ill get pics up when the camera batteries recharge >_<, yes i did take the intercooler piping off, i didnt want to get a metal shaving stuck inside the pipes,

bunnings didnt have the tap thread drill bits in the size i needed so i just bought a whole kit with heaps of sizes for $25, pretty cheap considering 1 cost 10 bux

how thick is the intercooler piping? how many threads would u get on the piping? i remember my piping was maybe 2mm thich

i got someone to install it for me and weld a nipple on there but ive heard of people doing what u did and worked fine

maybee its because i dont own a skyline but own a stagea but i got bugger all help from the forum on this issue i was trying to find out what the nipple was .eventually one of the stagea owners answered my question.im realy interested in sum pics of how u resolved it and where u got the nipple from.keep up the good work mate.

bought mine from repco. you can get pretty much any fitting (even a screw in airline fitting). all i did was, drill a hole slightly smaller than fitting, screw it in and then seal around using a silicon (clear). barely visible, but u can see the tape i also put on.

have a look.

plus foir added security, zip tied the hose onto the nipple.
