would this turo bolt straight up to an rb20det or would some modding be involved. also how much hp is the turbo good for (whats it rated at)

Paul its not a good turbo for a rb20 to big to slow (response wise) if you want lag then a big woosh of boost then...., and you would have to change your exhaust manifold to suit a t4 instead of t3, it also doesnt appear to have split pulse on it, and where is the Garret embossing.
