Cefiro Power Steering

Ive got a leaking power steering hose. Can I use a hose from a r32 or something, or were in sydney can i buy one from?

Which one? There are a lot of power steering hoses.

Thats true. Its the hose going from the pump to the steering rack.

I was thinking about getting pirtek to make one but i would rather get a proper one.

Just use some good castrol power steering fluid and it has stopped.

I would be trusting a new hose from pirtek more than a hose off an R32 which is most likely more than 15 years old.

I don't know if there was differences between early and late model cefiro, or if the difference is between hicas and non-hicas.... But, I had a steering rack out of a non hicas R32 and it used banjo bolt fittings, where as my cefiro (hicas equipped early model) used regular flared pipe fittings on the rack connections. I couldn't use my R32 rack in my cefiro unless I also used the R32 hoses.

You can use R32 hoses provided they have the correct fittings to suit your rack.

Yeah I bought a hose and the very end where it fits into the rack is different. I think hicas/non hicas. Looks like a might have to get pirtek or something...

In the end I got Enzed to come and make one cost me $140. Now its leaking from the rack but instead of a litre a day its a 500ml every 2 weeks so i guess i should be happy
