The Omori factory?

Omorikaigan station on the Keikyu line, which goes through Shinagawa.

Head out of the station and go North East. It's across the road from the horse race course.

www.nismo.co.jp

Yeah pretty much this exactly.

Take Yamanote line to Shinagawa. Switch to/follow the signs to the Keikyu line, buy a ticket at the window to Omorikaigan station I think its 160yen from Shinagawa.

Its the first platform you see when you go thru the ticket gates. Wait for a local train. If you accidently get the express it takes you 4 stops past Omorikaigan and you have to get off and backtrack. Done this when in a hurry before its a royal pain in the ass.

Get off the train at Omorikaigan, go outside the station and take the pedestrian footbridge to the other side of the road. Go down to your left and walk for 5-10 minutes till you hit Nismo.

Cross your fingers that they bothered to open up the shop today because half the times i've gone they've been closed for random reasons.

Easiest place to get to tho.

Nismo Omori Factory is most definately a must see when visiting Tokyo :(

Excercise self control while in the shop otherwise you will walk out with a big bag of random Nismo parts and accessories that you didn't plan to buy ;)

I'll be staying in the Sunshine City Prince Hotel located in Ikebukuro.

Can anyone direct me on how to get to the NISMO/OMORI factory and is it open from the 9th to the 14th April 2007?

I think everything you need to answer your own question is in this thread. Maybe have a read? ^^^^^^^^^

HaHaHa yeah, we went the four extra stops too!! went back too far and went to check out Nissan Red Stage... which turned out to be a dealership. They had a parts shop with nismo gear too tho.

Loved the race cars in the front of Omori Factory tho, and super clean workshop.

You can see the NISMO sign from the train (on the left as you head out).... you'll love it!

Directions above are spot on.

Its a Garage cum showroom, The office building behind is the HQ for Nismo Japan.

The security for the hq is very strict. Their inhouse garage is located on the 3rd or 4th floor....

Lots of secret projects as well as the latest development models stowed there.. When i last visited on business, I was shown the last ever R34 Z Tune D1 S15 Street legal project and 2006 JGTC car.

What is at the Omori Factory? Is it a garage? Or just a Nismo Store... can anyone go there?

just an update - was there last week they are open on fridays from 1pm to 4pm and sat and sunday from i think it was 10am? through to 4ish. I went there on friday at like mid day had to drive around for an hour in lunch time traffic to burn off some time - not fun lol. But worth the visit. lot smaller than I expected but the R34 Xanavi made it worthwhile (and i bought a crap load of stuff at the shop)

We were lucky enough to see a R34 Z tune there (customer's car) we spoke to the nissan guy there he said that for a premium cost you can have your R34 converted to Z tune level. Damn the Z tunes look nice though, nothing makes it look excessive...just dangerous hehe

    • Hi guys, Sorry to butt in and take it slightly off course, although still on the VCAM subject.  I had VCAM put into my Tomei 2.8 bottom end and I struggle to take off because the engine has very little torque caused by VERY low dynamic compression at 60psi. But once off the mark and especially on boost, the engine rev happily all the way to 8000rpm and makes 630hp at 20psi of boost on E85 at the rear hubs. Has anyone had any similar experience or any suggestions on what might cause this low compression at low rpm? I am in the process of converting it into a 8hp transmission and with this low torque, the engine would not even stay running until the throttle is opened to more than 30% and then I loose all vacuum.
    • Last year I got a set of MCA street coilovers for my turbo Forester after my son hitting a concrete gutter/wall on a small bridge causing the whole drivers side suspension to get bent because the rain just made the car slide out I love them, I think they were $2400. even had a hiccup of have the wrong hub configuration (my fault) so got onto MCA and they sent the correct shock ends overnight parts from QLD, for free!  I was very impressed with their customer service and quality of the product
    • They've had some weird failures on their brake actuators. One of them was because they added some kind of lubricant to the factory fill brake fluid that aftermarket brake fluid didn't have so it would affect the seals. Another was just mysterious, probably internal corrosion or something eating away at Prius brake actuators. Parts alone for those are a few thousand USD so not a cheap fix.
