G'day, have a few quick questions about RB20's...

I was wondering if someone could tell me what size front mount intercooler would be good for an RB20DET? I don't want anything too big.

I've seen heaps of intercoolers on ebay for pretty cheap, does anyone know if these are any good?

What would be the max PSI i should run with a stock RB20DET with front mount for short periods of time? I was thinking around 12PSI??? How much PSI do they run from the factory?

Would a stock VL fuel pump be alright for this motor?

Thanks.

they have an intercooler kit that many here on SAU use and its perfect for any of the rb series of engines.

i use it and i love it.

as for boost, you can safely run 12psi and probably even 14psi on the rb20, the turbo takes a little more boost than on the rb25 motor

for fuel pump, you can probably run a VLT fuel pump, but would you realy want to put a 15+ year old fuel pump into your car? it could die at any minute! if your going through the trouble of replacing it, i'd say go with something new

cheers,

Warren

alright, sweet thanks fellas. i was going to use the VL fuel pump because i have a vl that has been stripped and i was going to steal the pump out of it... but i will have a look at prices for the bosch fuel pump.

I'll probably get a dual stage boost controller and have it set at 8 PSI most of the time, and occasionally run it at 14psi.
