get out the welder and lock one of the suckers up

when you want to go drifting change the locker onto the car (30 min job) and then change back

lol yep its getting that way. 30mins.

I use rope to lower and lift the diff as I no longer have the pit. :)

Hey cubes, how do you use rope to lower and raise the diff? I can't seem to picture it.

I have a few trolley jacks of varying sizes, and we normally just grab the tiniest one, because it's the lightest and easiest to move for raising and lowering stuff.

Run rope from one side of the subframes elbow to the other under the diff and have the rope sticking out of the wheel arch, attach a pole of sorts and use that to lever the diff up and down, or at least help lift the diff.

Usually I have the other half doing the lifting (its really not that hard) and I also lift + guide the diff in to position.

Works well, and is actually really easy.

I've attached a bodgy pic, possibly that can help you visualise.

thats easy.i went the trolley jack method of lifting it out and reinserting it.though i took it out on my own i needed a hand to guide it back in.

on the 33's.are 4 main bolts on the floorpan, where the swaybar is connected they are removed to give more room.and the swaybar can be used as a resting point for the diffs tailshaft yoke.and its pretty easy to get it down from there.

Hi, bringing up an old thread. Has the shimming on your diffs worked a longer time or has the diffs worn down?

The earlyer replies were from last year so you've had a long time for testing. I.m curious because thinking about making the same procedure for my r33
