No A/C re-gassing is going to be any colder than another guys gas... thats just silly!

It must be installed by a A/C dude however.

Should be around $70-$100 for a regas, doesnt really matter where you go.

I think what he means is... the normal or the stock gas everyone is ment to put in or regass it with shouldnt vary in temperature it should have the same chemicals and what not. AC Gas should not vary. Well thats my opinion.

Ehrmmmm yeh, if u just get it regassed with the normal stuff (?!?!) it'll be alot colder, they die after a while, check that your vents are opening fully to, my motor was getting caught up and i was only getting half of the a/c air into the car

haha sounds like the blend door servo motor dead. I have this same problem, manually set the flap onto full cold and dont touch the temp controls :ermm:

Someday ill buy a working motor..someday...

the only gas in australia allowed for a/c in cars is r134a which is ozone freindly

no its quiet possible that you car had r12 in it which actually has a lower chill point.

so yes in theory there are colder a/c gasses. but no one is allowed to use r12 because it damages the ozone.

newer cars from around 1992 are r134 type systems. also you cant pop r12 into a r134 system as if there is resident r134 the two gases mix and cause major corrosion internally.i would take it to a auto elec who has experienced knowledge of a/c .ie knows the difference between out of gas and fooked a/c system parts.

you may well have a blend door motor issue . as they dont have a heater tap to turn off water to the heater core.

go and get it checked by a professional

my two cents.

    • I would be lying if I said I wasn't interested in what MCM were going to do with the NC I really enjoy their banter and occasional collaborations (like Alan from TSF, Ben from BCW, or any of the Haltech guys throwing around their experience), and I have probably watched everything they have put out
    • Not yet, we basically drove it to a private road, got the logs and drove it straight back. I think I need a new passenger seat belt after the mrs squeezed the life out of it.
    • Sounds insane! 🤤🤤🤤  Do you have any vids of it driving?  A flyby would be nice!
    • The prices of NCs are going to go up thanks to you... and partially the MCM guys.
