For sale are my BSA/ANZ Tycoon Hyper wheels. They are in perfect condition with only the front left rim having the slightest gutter rash (can hardly see it).

Currently has 60% Maxxis tyres on the rear and 40% Pirelli P-zero Nero's on the front (bloody expensive and still grip like shit on carpet)

18 inch x 8 inches wide

5 x 114.3

almost certain that its a +40 offset...maybe +38? (currently on an r32 with no guard scrapage lock to lock - sticks out a tiny bit so it looks good)

Tyres are 235/40/18

$1000 $900 $850 $750 firm

Hey man,

Would you consider a swap plus cash adjustment.

Cheers

i'd prefer to not swap as i'll be returning the wheels back to stock and would prefer cash.

$900 negotiable with 4 good tyres guys!

hey man, i'm in kew. they'll be off my car before the end of the week and u can trial fit them then.

if it makes it any easier, we can meet in the middle somewhere.

Bump!

I have to have these GONE.

Open to reasonable offers =)

Let me remind u that the tyres are all very good, esp the front Pirelli Nero's which are about $500 a pop by themselves. There is also only one small bit of gutter rash if u can spot it in the big wheel picture above.

Feel free to ask any questions or want a trial fitting.

How can I find out whether these will suit my R33 GTST? I don't know much about offsets...

R33 are supposed to be +20 according to this site http://meggala.com/wheelsoffsets.htm

hey dude,

i think u were looking at the r33 GTR offsets with a 10 inch wide rim and 275mm wide tyre with offset +20.

according to the site, these offsets with tyres will fit:

SKYLINE TYPE M R33

18X8.0 +33 225/40 R18

18X9.0 +39 255/35 R18

from what i know, the offset is the distance between the inside edge of the wheel hub and a space with measurement +xx. using that, the site u sent me and the tyre dimensions on mine as 235/40 R18 offset +40, i can almost be sure that it'll fit well as the +39 255/35 R18 is almost the same offset (-1 diff) fits and my tyres are 20mm narrower which means that it shouldn't rub on your guards and it won't stick out too much (10mm smaller on either side).

correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm almost certain that's the way it works and therefore it should fit perfectly =)

feel free to ask anything more.

Thanks for the info!

I've been warned by a friend about buying 2nd hand rim's this big... that warping can be a problem. That all it takes is a pothole or something and you can leak air and have to refill your tyres every week. So I guess my question is... have these rims ever met a gutter or a (large) pothole? Do they maintain air pressure?

no probs.

there's no leaks in the tyres and i haven't had to top them up since i got the car as they've held pressure. they haven't hit any large potholes or gutters either. i'm always cautious not to drive over them as it screws with the sussy setup too.

they also haven't been tracked or dragged so there is no chance of them being warped through that either.

I reckon they look good on your car. Don't know why you would sell them!

hahah thanks, but i'm selling them as i'm a bit strapped for cash atm and will be going back to stockies for a lil while.

    • Hi...a little refresh. Is Nistune gonna be enough to run BoV? Or do i need some proper ECU?
    • Yep that's pretty much what I want to see. Racecars that look and sound like the Group A but with newer tech underneath to make them faster and safer. I'm sure there's enough VK-to-VN commodore, E30 BMWs and Foxbody mustangs shells around to make up a decent number of cars with hopefully a couple of sierras, rx7 and R31s in there too.
    • Contact Jessestreeter.com/Skevas Racing/JustJap for a new r34 rb gearbox or go a cd00# conversion. No point playing with unknown condition gearboxes.
    • Such a shame places like Amaroo Park have been redeveloped, smaller tracks always make for good racing. Cheers for sharing @PranK there's some good Lakeside video's too. Its so hard with older the cars as parts are so rare and everything was made for a particular chassis at that point in time. Even the V8 Supercar Blueprint era cars are all different between each chassis within a team as they learnt things and made improvements. The COTF cars between each Chassis builder is different too especially motor/oil systems/intakes. The Group A stuff is worth so much too especially chassis with good history. The only way to do it would be composite panels and similar engine drivelines to the original cars. Ford sierra running Focus RS driveline, Commodore running a short stroke LS/LT or a Falcon with coyote and a H Pattern dog box. Could use a standard ecu across all models with a Torque Map and DBW for parity which is not even used in Supercars currently. Hell a TCM is almost a full chassis car these days and the suspension is not even close to standard style in the front running cars.
