Who knows what sort of driver Greg Johnston is, but I bet he's havin' the time of his life! It's the first GTS-T I've seen in the event ever, and I watch it closely every year. Lots-o-rain on first 2 days so the 4 wheel drive cars have a huge advantage. Today's results have been postponed until tomorrow but check out Leg 1 (yesterday) or each indiv stage of Leg 2 (today) for a look at how it's faring. Seems to be comparible to the Integra Type R in pace so far.

There are two factory XR6 Turbos in the race, one driven by Hoinville that is moderately warmed over, and a fairly stock one with the MOTOR Editor Taylor, at the wheel. They're both doing quite well. Most of the factory cars (like McConville in the new Astra Turbo) seem to have the GUN drivers though, so I'm not sure what sort of a guide the whole thing is. Pretty interesting though. The GTS-T is car no.832. You gotta be envious of these guys!!! Open, winding, clean and testing roads, short bursts of speed, sponsored tyres and fuel (mostly!), few regs, and no SPEED CAMERAS!!! I'd give my last freckle...
