Attessa Probs

hey, the attessa in my car is playing up. the 4WD light comes on SOMETIMES when i start the car. (it SEEMS that when the car is warm, it operates properly more often). the control unit blinked 18 times, so i went to the service manual (page CH-72)and tryed to do the diagnostics test on it.

step 1 there was continuity

step 2 there was continuity

so apparrently my hydraulic unit is kaput. has anyone had any dramas with these things before.

not really. it may be the conectors on it.

sorry, i tested the wrong thing,

Step 2 there was not contiuity,

that means the harness has problems.

i got under the car and cleaned the conecters just above the rear diff and the problem is still there.

has anyone got any suggestions???

hmm is the other end of the harness ok, ie plugged into computer under parcel shelf firmly? also check the earths that can be a problem too. In particular there should be a good earth between chasis and rear subframe

yeah i'll clean the the other end soon, how do i check how good an earth is?
