Hello all

Got a mate looking to get some Volk Rims for his car (s2000) and after a long and painful (paid - waited - no rims - no refund - court etc) he still has no luck. Now hes talking Bob Jane jobbies and we just cant have that.

Any ideas on dealers that could help. Especially a WA dealer. Any help would be great as his stocko 16" rims just do do the car any justice.

Thanks.

heard these guys can get some speciatlty rims or maybe try http://www.c-red.com.au think they also can get some of the rarer stuff. Both in WA, or try one of the traders here on SAU. JDMIMPORTS or JDMConcept i think.

cheers

As above, getting them in from JDM, Slidewise Imports EBAY auctions etc... is probably gunna be cheaper and contain a wider range than Perth suppliers

But I understand if he's had trouble in the past.

    • I've also got a quick jack. I would never get under my car again without using it.  While it might be quicker to use a jack and stands, it is such a quality of life improvement that I wouldn't have it any other way now.  How much slower the quick jack is to setup will be based on your circumstances. Can you leave the jack rails on each side of the garage? Can you leave the hydraulic lines attached? etc.  If you can drive the car into the garage and simply push the jacking rail thingos under the car into place, it is super quick to setup and use. But if you have to pull the pump unit out of storage, attach the hydraulic lines, wheel out the lifting rail thingos.... yeah takes a bit of time. Having said that, I would still prefer that to using a jack and stands lol.
    • Sydney Tools have them for ~$3400. More than the Quick Lifts but these seem better. https://sydneytools.com.au/product/quickjack-7000tl208240v-5175642-7000lb-110220v-portable-light-duty-truck-and-passenger-car-lift-system
    • I've seen these as well https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/395822887806?chn=ps&_ul=AU&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&google_free_listing_action=view_item&srsltid=AfmBOooak9PFJJwwNDusr8TrZ5lsminTjComhJr-Z4dJ52Tt35T1hBPl0wk&gQT=1 but always seemed a bit dodgy lol
    • Yeah same with the GTR but in practice that is pretty easy because the car is so high, and the stands only go from sill end to sill end so you don't need to wriggle far
