Hopefully can get a quick answer from someone. His car all ova sudden wont start, its cranking properly etc etc, Iv just pulled the ecu out and checked for errors, error code 34 come up,knock sensor..I wouldnt of thought that a knock sensor failing would cause the car not to start..

if a knock sensor has completely failed will the car simply not start?

Btw, its r31 witha rb20det...

Thanks people.!!!

i dont think the knock sensor will cause it

check to see if you are getting fuel and spark

I know its been a couple of days but just wanted to say thanks for offering some advice guys.. As i thought it wasnt the knock sensors causing the prob... My dick ova friend failed to tell me that the fuel guage was on empty.. hahahahahaha bloody idiot!!

btw tho, i checked the knock sensors. both were uplugged. He has been having issues with his car for ages, car had extreme lag and lag of response etc, he as taken it to mechanics and no one helped.. We plugged the knock sensors back in and reset ecu, car reponds much better both on and off boost. No more error code 34 from the ecu...brilliant.
