Hi,

For the past month or so my has not been starting smoothly. It takes about 4 seconds or so for the engine to start when cold. Interestingly though, if i leave the ignition on for about 5 minutes it starts fine and if I turn it off then on after I start it, it starts fine too. My mechanic said it could be a fuel pump issue. Does anyone agree? And if so what is a good fuel pump to install for a R33 GTS?

By the way, this is my first post in over 2 years! So welcome me back!

welcome !

my old r33 did the same.

i had a new pump put in, i tried a new battery, i had my injectors cleaned and checked but still the same in winter only, it was fine in summer.

my mechanic put it down to the a temp sensor being faulty. and it sounded about right, Get nissan to hook it up to there pc dinositics machine and they ll tell you exactly what it is. i never got around to doing it but nissan never fails on last resort problem solving.. only downer side is you ll pay about 70 bucks just for a little code print out.

Thanks I may have to fork out the cash, because it is not only annoying and probably bad for the car, but it is damn embarrasing !
