By all means post a question just be sure you will recieve many replys saying do a search or this has been covered, just go with it and wait for the right info to be posted. If some one says do a search and you have, maby you can ask them to do the search seeing as how they could find it and you could not and this will point you in the right direction. The search function is pretty simple to use once you know how but ill admit it can be hard for people new to it. So any help needed dont hesitate to ask, thats what im here for...

Fair enough point there. I understand that logic.

Will certainly ask the question next time i come across something i am a little uncertain of.

C'mon guys and girls......

sxc33 is a mate of mine who has just joined

is this the welcome that we want to give to our fellow skyline enthusiets????

we all love skylines

lets help each other out when possible......

I think people are forgetting the useful function of PM's, you can say what you like and don't bother everybody else (refering to, posts from people about breakfast, love you baby and shit like that).

Unless topics, plenty of those around in here. Out of about 20 topics, I may read 2 or 3.

"I have a friend whose interested in joining", "I went to some concert today", "I got paint on my car, boohoo", "Yet another thread about PFC's!", "The cops caught me doing something dumb, I hates the coppers!" and similar are quite useless and/or annoying.

I tend to keep my social chatting that has nothing to do with skylines and queensland out of this forum, you have access to PM, various chat programs, Telephones, mobile phones or forums elsewhere... heck you can make one for free and pay nothing, EVER!

It comes down to opinion though, whats useful and useless. Though the useless seems to be being noticed by far more people and the audiable few seem to create a racket when their posts get deleted/topics closed when complaints are made.

I noticed you've been warned before for crapping on in thread for no reason.

Consider this your first and final informal warning from me :)

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
