Rb26 Engine Knock

hey guys i have just bought a R32 GTR and it came with a power fc so i just plugged in the hand controller and i have knock on one of the channels and i have noticed that when i start the car sometimes the knock can be as high as 112 but it only happens maybe once a day.. could i have a dodgy knock sensor????

any feedback would be appreciated

Mine never knocks above 30 have you had the tune check at all.

nah i haven't had it checked i will go and get it checked out. i know it has been tuned when its running it never goes above 30 but its just on start up sometimes.

mine very rarely goes over 20.

but i had shit fuel in the car once, and the knock went up to 29 after a hard drive.

i have seen 134 once when i started the car, but it was onbly once, and i highly doubt it was the actual knock.

yeah thats what i thought and it usually only happens if the car hasnt been started for a while and is cold. i thought knock was to do with the air being to hot am i wrong?

Ryan,

Quite common on start-up. Once you start the car (and the knock reading is high) press for reset then monitor your levels during the drive.

If it gets that high from driving - worry.
