Help I Got Something In My Engine Bay Wet

Hey guys I was deegreasing my engine bay and hosing it out before my car goes in for roadworthy tomorrow.. I thought I covered up the important electricals but obviously not.

Anyhow the car started first time I left the car wash and also started one other time however whilst driving I noticed the battery charge light come on.

I pulled up and turned of the engine and then everything started to play up.. MY HICAS warnign light came on the charge light came on and the engine light came on?? And now the car wont start its turnign over like it would if it had a flat battery

Any ideas what I got wet that I shouldnt have??

i think you got your alternator wet and maybe shorted out the regulator on the back of it. hence battery light coming on because of low charge. just a thought.

sounds like alternator is gone...isnt too expensive i dont think but dont quote me on that

Always make sure u cover the alternator with a cloth when sparyin ur engine!!!
