Rb 25/30 Setup Q's

Hey everyone,

Embarking on a project ,, will start off in a VL Turbo and most probably end up in a 32 GTST or even GTR ,, part i have accumulated so far ...

3.0l bottom end (S1) - fresh built to stock NA specs

RB25DE Complete motor (going to bin the bottom end)- use the head / HKS CAMS / standard plenum

SARD 800cc Injectors / Sard FPR

Turbo i was thinking of a TO4Z (1.00 split pulse T4) with custom manifold / ext wastegate

ECU will be a Microtech or a Autronic (undecided)

I know this is a skyline forum but you guys def seem to be the people to talk to regarding these builds so :

1) Does anyone know a reputable workshop in Sydney that could put this badboy together? end to end

2) Anyone reccomend any good Exhaust Manifold builders? (reasonable prices)

3) Turbo selection do you think the T04Z is a good option?

4) Im looking for around 350kw@wheels initally - before putting it together you think I should rebuild the bottom end with forged pistons / rods / ARP Studs etc etc?

if you where wondering Im using a ACL Race Glide Box and Tough rear end so no worries there ...

ul need a series 2 bottomend coz the s1 doesnt have the oil and waterline holes in the block. u can t piece them in the s1 block but its easier to use a s2 block.

drilling and tapping the holes take all of around 10 minutes at the most.. don't let a good nick series 1 bottom end turn you off, other than if you're seriouse have a read of the rb30 hybrid thread, it's stickied at the top of the forced induction index, well worth your while.
