Ecu Looms?

hey does anyone know if there is a difference between a series 1 and series 2 ecu loom?

can i use a series 1 in a series 2 engine?

S2 does not use an ignitor, hence the plug is different for the coils. The TP is also different, allong with some pickup sensors i think. But if you have S2 loom and use S2 coils and so froth it will work.

the s2 has the ignitor in the coils, so as wogs said the plug for there is different. and as said the tps plug is different, and i think the AFM plug may be different as well.

does that mean that only series 2 ecu will fit the loom also, its just all the wreckers i have been to dont know

how to tell the series 2 and series 1 loom apart. but i was thinking if i go in with my ecu maybe it would only fit the series 2 loom if they have one.

From memory a S2 ecu will drive a S1 loom but not the other way around? Actually not too sure about that one.

BUT you will need the AFM and all sensors to suit S2 loom if you are using a S1 engine.

take the throttle body into the wreckers and fit the loom to your TPS plug. S1 wont fit in the S2 throttle and vice versa
