I'm looking to find a more comfortable seat for my R33, as I'm really uncomfortable in my line ATM.

I'm 192cm and 100kg, and I've got wide shoulders.

The stock R33 GTS-t seat was pretty painful, b/c it would dig into my upper back, and it was way too high for me.

I've got a R33 GT-R seat now which is slightly better, as it sits lower and doesnt dig into my upper back, but it is way too narrow for me...

I was looking at a 300ZX (TT) seat, and it looks way more comfy.

Just wondering if anyone (larger guys mainly) have had any experience driving a 300ZX, and if it was comfy or not.

And does anyone know if a 300ZX TT drivers seat will fit into an R33 with little or no modification?

Id be just over 190 cm too, around early 90's kg and i was more than comfortable in my 33. Granted more knee room would have been good but i never really felt uncomfortable. I sat in the passanger seat of a 2 seater 300 and found it the same sort of fit, slightly more leg room tho. The only way im massively uncomfortable is if you got a 33 with a sunroof... then i got not chance of fitting in the car.

Whether the 300 seat will straight swap into the line or not, i cant help you

As you can see from my dodgy paint pic, the points marked with the red arrows are the spots that dig into me because of my height, and width.

The seat backing is too short for me, and the base sits too high, and yes i do have a sunroof.

The 300ZX backing seems to flow like one long piece, and it doesn't look like there are any points that would dig into me.

i'm 182cm, 90kg. my GT-R seat is a little too narrow for me, but it is still liveable. my back doesn't actually fit, it feels like the side bolsters are digging into the outside of my lats.

it grips my body like buggery though, so i put up with it.

Why dont you take a 300 for a test spin from a dealer or importer and see how you go. its hrd to compare seats because it feels like your sitting A LOT lower to the ground in a 300... and laying down more slightly. But i know what your trying to say. Tried a 34 GT-t seat?

I cant belive your slightly taller than me and are not complaining about head room!!

Yeah, headroom (with a sunroof) is a real bitch with the standard seat, but the GT-R seat is low enough to give me *just* enough headroom.

I am 195cm, way over 100Kg and do not get any back problems in my 4dr, lack of thigh support is a different answer....

I am assuming that my 4dr seat is less agressively sporty than a 2dr and this would most likely explain my increased comfort. Apart from non-folding backrest, would one of these be an option for you?

Headroom was also a reason for choosing the 4dr over a 2dr in the first place. Framed windows make for a bigger whole for me to get my shoulders through....
