Safety cert = RWC doesn't it?

Yeah mate, but not all mechanics issue the certificates.

Try Russel at Autofine performance Labrador, not sure if he does them but he will point you in the right direction.

Oh, I realised that. Most mechanics that do it advertise it as a roadworthy check/certificate (RWC, at least the local ones here seem to), but what you get is called a safety certificate. It's been like that for a few years (along with the changes on selling a car registered with a SC etc)

thanx for the help, i got done for height, air filter, front mount (for not having mesh the idiot thinks its a "hot part") also he thinks im breaking emissions coz there is a plug near the throttle body that wasnt connected (its for the autos not manuals!) umm and left front tyre. the guy was a retard he just wanted to book me man. this was on musgrave st so watch out,

Ok i would check with the D.O.T. first what the legislation is on some of those defects, because they cant defect you on some shit that they make up.

Fair enough ride height under 100mm you will get done and a bald tyre, but front mount not having mesh thats a new one.

Air filter wasnt it secured properly.

yeah tyhe airfilter was secure but he said that it had to be in a box. he said the intercooler had to be meshed. and the grill (gtr imitation) had to be meshed up aswell. the guy was a loser. when i explained to him thw auto thing he was like (oh im not a skyline speacialist, if its ok then the mechanic will know)

the bloke was a loser

Last time i checked in QLD we only need to secure our pods not actually box them as well.

that is correct. they only need to be secured, not boxed.

check out my thread in regards to something similar to what you've just been defected for -

Seems like he just wanted to defect someone !... Pods unsecured yeah thats understandable .. funny one is intercooler why mesh it up !...prolly some idiot trying to do his quota for the day couldnt find anything else to do !

what is the best way to secure a pod??? I dont think mine is secrued, I didn't know it had to be??

Well zip ties are out of the question.

Some type of metal bracket secured to a solid fixing point.
