bluey33
Is driving on a suspended and out of date licence classified as a hoon law? Will the car be towed or will u get a fine and told to go home or do u have to be speeding/burnouts to be impounded. In Victoria that is. RellikZephyr
either way ... it is illegal and you shouldnt be doing it whats the point of the question? ... makes me think you already have a suspended licence and are still currently driving and your curious what will happen when you get caught ...but... it is not classified under the hoon laws, just your regular old illegal laws, but be warned you own a skyline so im sure the cops wont hesitate to try take your car off you because they can RellikZephyr Edited March 21, 2007 by RellikZephyr Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/161392-hoon-law/#findComment-2997021 Share on other sites

ProphetR33
Driving with a suspended license will get you a fine well over $1000 and at least 18 months without your license. I don't think getting your car impounded for 2 or 3 days will seem like such a big loss somehow. SS8_Gohan
just make sure you dont get caught, not a good idea to be driving man. that's pretty damn easy... DON'T DRIVE! don't have to be a rocket surgeon to figure that one out. If everyone "made sure they weren't caught", then no one would get caught! my goodness... Downforce
Is driving on a suspended and out of date licence classified as a hoon law? Will the car be towed or will u get a fine and told to go home or do u have to be speeding/burnouts to be impounded. In Victoria that is. Driving while license is suspended = court appearance. You will receive a summons to appear in court. First offence will probably be a $250 - $500 fine, extended license suspension. LiQuid IcE
Obviously you lost your license because you SHOULDN'T be on the roads. also if you read the print on the notice, it could include jail time... dunno how heavily this is inforced but its there on paper... R31Nismoid
The fine will be more than 250 easily. Because you have already lost it (first offence), and your dumb enough to drive again (second offence), 500 upto 1000 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/161392-hoon-law/#findComment-3013698 Share on other sites

bluey33
Long story but to cut it short... Fine - im sure will be straight up flat rate so to speak... Apparently about $3000 or 4 months in prison according to a letter I got from vic roads Thats what i read few days ago and i havnt driven since. I know it will be lost for longer if i am to be caught but i lost it in the way that... (i had NSW licence, just moved down) Got a fine for bald tires. i didnt pay the fine in time... i then went to sydney to get my Green P's then i was going to transfer to VIC licence and they told me i had outstanding money owing and couldnt update/renew my licence which was runnin out in couple days after. so my licence is outta date. So i was driving with illegal tires but didnt lose licence doing doughnuts or speeding. So maybe 6-12 months loss which i wouldnt be happy bout. Gor now im stayn off the road. I still think its a joke, i cant drive over not payin a fine in time yet a lot of ppl can who dont deserve one and we all seen em out there. anyhow my lesson learnt for now. Why can't you just pay the fine and transfer the licence. How out of date is the licence? Can you just renew it if it's been less than 3 months? Can you just renew it if it's been less than 3 months? They told me i had to ring state debt, so i did... They then told me no records of me on there so i kept trying, now im waiting to know whats going on... its was out of date december. Do u know if i will have to do my P's test again when i wanna go for em cause new law coming in might screw me over if it takes a while to sort out? I know VIC roads will tell me but if ya know, thanks. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/161392-hoon-law/#findComment-3018702 Share on other sites
Russman
not sure man but get it sorted as soon as you can. I transfered a red p's NSW licence to vic p's when I turned 18. (I went to NSW when I was 17 to get mine but I got done driving to school.) You should be able to just transfer it over in you are over 18 and have those fines paid. LTHLRB
its not considered a hoon law if your driving unlicensed, you will just get reamed with fines..
