Hey Guys,

I have tried searching and have found a few little bits and peices but its not exactly definitive or what im after.

Ok basically i am going to be starting a project with a R34 Coupe or 4 door (not sure yet). Seeing as the non turbo models are a fair bit cheaper i have been looking inot buying one of those as a base. But then i got thinking about differences between the 2 different variants.

Basically im after the major differences between the 2 ie brakes, suspension, chassis, anything that is performance inhibiting or is something else that will need to be upgraded if i was to buy a non turbo version.

I relise there are series 1 and 2's i have found a bit of imfromation on these so you need not post up about that.

The car will eventually get a different engine so the fact that one is turbo and the other isnt want be a problem.

Thanks in advance,

Neil

when you say its going to eventually be another engine in the car..

are you talking about some thing other than a rb25neo ???

if you are going to upgrade the engine to a turbo'd rb25 in the long run anyway, dont waste your time getting a N/A in the first place IMHO

Eventually it will either have a rb25 with 30 bottom end or a 2jz, however this is still undecided. Either the turbo or non turbo head will work with the 30 block so it doesnt particularly matter which version i buy in that view.

The interior is slightly different, the R34 N/A lacks the three gauges that the turbo model has.

Im pretty sure the N/A model has smaller brakes.

Not sure about suspension differences.

Chasis is the same.

ah ok, fair enough. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt a.. "buying the NA skyline cos I cant afford turbod now, and will drop in a stock turbod engine later" type project :pirate:

as said if u go for a gtv model you will get everything the turbo model has minus the turbo. that includes suspension, brakes the works. there is some food for thought.
