Do tell????

Its not mine thats for sure

i didnt think i mentioned ghey car in that post..... nah kidding

yeah yours will definately be one of the better cars with ultimate... the e-passaaaahge wit e-manaaaaaahge

I have been having real dramas trying to get my emu working, to the point I gave up on it, as with it fitted the car was running as rough as hell, or wouldn't run at all. This week I have found out that the AAC valve was choked up with crap and the TPS is faulty. Is it feasible that this could have caused my emu problems, working on the thought that the emu is more sensitive than the stock ecu and with a faulty sensor it could have been conflicting with the ecu?

Hey guys, for reference I've uploaded my current (incorrect?) IGN wiring, incl pics, etc.

When I 'correct' the IGN wiring, I'm hoping all will be well. If not, I'll use this doc to get back to where I was.

Ign_wiring_check___cp03.pdfFetching info...

If anyone wants to comment, please do!

still not sure how/why the car is currently running, but it does!

I wish I could find another 34 GTT to compare! anyone?

Hi Trent,

Yes the adapter is installed - see pic - Ign_Adapter_and_JP8.pdf

Also, if you have 5min, can you comment on Page 3 in the pdf above. I'm really puzzled that the wiring doesn't match the EMU instructions.

Cheers

another question here, i cant get the speed limiter to go away, what i red you just choose disable under preferences i did that but it still cuts at 180km/h, is there anythiner more i need to do? ive checked the logger and the Emu gets right speed signal and all

I will be tuning one of these tonight, can you connect a 0 - 5v output from a wideband AFR meter and log the values into the greddy emanage software like you can do with datalogit ?

Trent, can you give me some tips on how to do this if possible please?

yes, you can do it. There is a greddy a/f harness that you connect to the one of two ports on the front panel (option 1 or option2).Than you have to confiure the wideband in the vehicle menu/front panel. under option 1 or 2 there will be a drop menu with choices of accesories you can connect (greddy map sensor, wideband etc.)Choose wideband, than you can choose wideband make. If its Innovate, they have innovate data there. Choose it a you are good to go.

Hmmm. I'm not familiar with Blue one. Sorry.

Another nice option of wideband 02 on EMU is auto-tune function. You input desired AFRs, drive the car and EMU adds/subtracts right amount of fuel to achive desired afr. Not very spot on,but can help you save some time.

yup and the innovate is already preprogrammed as an input on option 1 and 2. You just need to find or buy a plug which fits the front yellow sockets :)

this allows auto-tune and also killer datalogging features.... right down to viewing data in graph form and it will then highlight the relevant cells in the map..str8 off the datalog screen...makes for awesome tuning resolution. As the emanage has dual ign and fuellng maps you can actually tune in 32x32 instead of 16 by 16

    • Hi. A little bit of an update. It maybe(hope not) looks like i would need a new tranny(it would be "maybe" a cheaper or better option anyway) So i need some info. I know i need a different propshaft(i can make custom one) LSD is not a problem cuz the engine will be still(for now) N/A RB20. So if i buy RB25DET NEO tranny...is there something else i need? I read something about push/pull type but i do not know if i need to "change" something or i can just plug n play onto my engine a go? Thanks for the advice
    • Good morning all, Bit of a random question but figured I’d finally throw it out after wondering for a long while. Before I start, I'm hoping to do this purely out of personal preference. I think it would look better at night, and don't mind at all spending a few hours and dollars to get it done. I've copied this from a non-Skyline specific forum, so I apologize for the explanation of our headlight switch setup that we all know. Here we go: Zero lights (switch off) Parking lights (switch position 1) being a rectangular marker on the outside of the housing, my low beam being the projector in the centre (position 2), and a high beam triggered by my turn signal stalk. Most North American cars I’ve owned of this era have power to the amber corner (turning indicator) light as part of the first switch (parking lights). I’d love to have these amber corners receive power when the headlights and parking lights are on (headlight switch), yet still blink when using the turn signal which is of course a separate switch. Hopefully I’ve explained my question correctly. Is anyone aware of a way in which I might be able to achieve this? Thanks in advance
    • My heads are cathedral port! It's likely possible, but I don't want to add any extra moving parts (I know they don't move) between the heads, manifolds, etc. It will also affect how injectors/fuel rails etc sit and I don't really know if it would change how the FAST manifold goes/sits/fits. I have the LS6 steam pipes already as I have a very late LS1 block so it should be fine. I couldn't find anyone who had ever actually used one for this purpose, it seems 100% of people grind the water pump. The thermal spacers are 12mm and are half way to the cost of the newer water pump anyhow... so if it comes to that I suppose I'd rather buy a new pump. The bearing in the pump I do have is a little.. clunky, but it hasn't done that much time and I never noticed it when the car was together in the past few years, so..
    • The bushing has failed, not all that uncommon for a car of this age.  Any mechanic should be able to push in a new bushing for you, or you can probably buy the entire lower control arm, complete with bushes.
    • Could you not use "thermal" spacers to give the clearance, like the ones I used between the blower and head? That raised the manifold height by around 10-15mm Albeit the ones I used were for cathedral ports, but I assume they have similar for rectangular ports????
