Q : Can 215s Fit On 235 Rims?

Hi

A mate of mine has 215 17s tyres he is no longer useing. and I 235/45 17s on my cars that are nearly gone. Just wondering if they will work on my rims.

only answer we can really give u is probably cause you haven't given us the rim width. for example i have 215's on a 9" rim but its not recommended and most tyre places wont even fit them.

what size are your rims buddy. the tyres you have now is irelevant. you could have 235s on a 10 which would mean you have no chance of using the 215s. or maybe you have the 235s on a 7.5 which would mean the 215s will be 'ok'. 215 is a pretty narrow tyre though, I wouldn't use it on a skyline.

i just measured it today and it is 9" rim so you think it will work?

yeah 215 is small, i have used them on R33 GTR wheels on silvias but i would not dare put 215 on a heavy skyline.

ive used 215/45/17's on 9 inch rim and it works well. however you need a good quality tyre to get grip. Also they are going to be fair stretched so unless your drifting i wouldnt bother
