yeah Nick don't ask us when make a date and place for dinner doesn't have to be a social activity also maybe just a cruise up greenhill road after anything just make date time place

i think thats half the problem with ppls that make a event up they try to be democratic about it you need to be autocratic

set date set time set place people will soon say oh i cant make it ill come next time

Yes this is very true, a few people may remember an event organised last year from a month in advance was done that way & was probably one of the biggest turn outs we've ever had. It may be an idea to even create a thead of rules for organisers & attendees.
