ANYONE who has this problem, or knows anyone that could help, it would be GREATLY appreciated...

The Screen in my car can not support Pal-60 mode on the Xbox (it goes black and white), only Pal-50... some games do not run in Pal-50 at all...

i would like to amend this somehow that doesn't involve paying another 2k for a head unit... plus im pretty sure there is only one that can do it, and its not even released as of yet...

im thinking a converter of some type... maybe i could convert the high def signal to pal 50 or something... i dunno...

so any info, anyone thats done this, anyone that knows anyone or a shop that has done this... any of this information would be fantastic :glare:

dude xbox 360 is crap.

i got one the munite they were released...it froze 2 hours after i opened it!!! so i got a replacement one for free of course....that died about a month and a half ago. took it back to harvey norman and they sent it off to be repaired. its taken 39 days so far and harvey norman still dont know when ill get it back. they said theres some ppl that have waited 60 days and nothing...

then today my workmate said he ws watching a morning show and M$ have admitted that about 40% of the 360 consoles have fatal errors.

im soo pissed off..i got 512k adsl installed like 2 weeks ago mainly for playing xbox live...lucky i have an orig xbox so i can play halo2 and pgr2 online...

wouldnt risk the 360 mate. they are time bombs. puting it in ur car is asking for trouble. just my advice

what the f**k did that have anything to do with anything in this thread?

welcome to Microsoft's world of meeting deadlines... your a fool for buying it when it first came out, i waited quite some time...

its on the floor next to me til i can figure out how to play Forza in the car :D normally it sits in the boot next to the battery...

though a better place might be on the side of the boot where your car jack shit normally is... but i have a 10 stacker there...

why, thinkin about doing the same thing? :D

Well one.. you're a knob.. my 360 died.. rang the number got a RMA form.. sent off and got back 6 days later..

And yes the morning show did say they are having problems with ONE! particular error.. and they have now extended warranty on that error to 3 years..

Keep your MS bashing noobness amongst you and your mates

having a ps2 or xbox1 in the car is the smart idea. you can set them up to play games off a HARD DRIVE.

dont hold your breath for that to happen with a X360 or a Ps3 yet... microsoft said ppl that get caught via their scanning systems playing games in suspiecous manner will have their NIC address of their x360 banned off xbox live for life. and if you buy a xbox360 solely for car you must be thik in the head... lol. id go ps3, it has less issues, just make sure you give either console breathing room, possibly its own air duct to outside.

you are a total ass. i just tried to advise you on thinking twice b4 puting the 360 in your car and you attack me. go f%*k yourself.

if your just going to use it in ur car you could get it chipped then you wont need to leave the disks in your car, which would be a piss off if they got stolen. its not like your going to be playing over the net from the car.

i dont know about the new xbox chipping but on the old 1 you can switch between pal and ntsc which might get it working on your cars screen.

the new ones can change, and i use the xbox for both in car and at home... plus i drive the car a lot less now, so its only in there sometimes...

i still haven't put it in to check this, and i doubt i will cause im making some switches for some other shit first...

    • I'm firmly on the "zero compliance is good compliance" for FUCAs. I'd be looking to solid metal joints even if the primary reason for having them is because they facilitate the twist in the arm. I have never been more happy with the way the front suspension behaves than I have since I got rid of the FUCA bushes. Even the thin little (short lived) poly bushes in the Whiteline adjustables have too much compliance for my liking. It probably won't be long before I have sphericals nearly everywhere, probably including both top and bottom arms in the rear, and I'll start complaining about the increased costs for dental work. But I will be enjoying the driving more, I'm sure.
    • Plus, you'll get great experience in bedding in pads!
    • I have offset Nismo brackets so the fact the gktechs can pivot is less important to me. I have 170mm JIC arms with bushings - but they provide no adjustment and I'm not sure whiteline eccentric bushings will fit them (I don't want to ruin the bushings currently in them to find out). Ideally I want something with bushings + adjustment; hence why I'd like to find a pair of these. Unfortunately they aren't easy to find.
    • @Vee37 How much do you really care about finding these pads again? If your pads are quiet, work well and produce minimal dust, really isn't that enough? If you are set on finding the exact pads again, I suppose I'd do something like this -  Visit your local Jax, find out what brand of pads they carry. If the Jax workshop you previously went to had the pads on the shelf, then you can almost guarantee it will be of said brand.   I'm guessing you don't have the receipt for the previous work and pads. Can you visit a Jax workshop and see if they can look up your previous job to see what pads were fitted?  Still no luck? Put your stalker hat on, find the staff that used to work at the Jax store and ask them. Talk to local workshops, try to find out where the mechanics went to. Talk to Jax workshops, maybe they relocated to another workshop. When it comes to mechanics, its a small world. You'd be surprised how easy it is to track someone down. If these ideas don't work, shit will start getting crazy very quickly.... You could find out every brand and model of pad that fits that car... and try them individually ticking each off the list if it wasn't the one you were looking for.... If you go down this path your going to want to learn how to swap pads yourself, it is very easy, takes minimal tools and space. If you have room to park the car you have room to swap the pads. Plus you have the advantage of making sure all the brake hardware goes back in so they won't squeal!
