Rb25det Alternative To Coil Packs

I'm rebuilding a rb25det with forgies, big top mount turbo, tomei poncams,powerfc, 800cc inj, jun plenum, q45 afm and throttle body. And now I'm looking for coil packs that will support the 600 rwhp I'm aiming for. Does anybody have any good suggestions? the only alternative I can find is Splitfire ignition system and I can not find speccs for how much horsepower they are rated to support. Anybody? it's a series 1 engine.

Good condition stock coils, identical to Splitfires... so if your stock stuff is good... dont need split fires.

But @ 440rwkw, you wont have enough spark and will need a HKS black box, or some other ignition aplification

So you recon a new and stronger amplifier unit and correctly gapped spark plugs will do it?

ef falcon coil pack with topgun 10mm leads and a haltech ignitor, ive seen it hold without any issue's to the same rwhp uve mentioned.. and even higher on a 26 with t88.

i know that some people have used teh LS1 coils on Sr20's. apperently its really easy to wire them up and the are a cheap alt. to splitfire. i havent heard of them used on the RB though so i couldnt say for sure.

buy some OEM packs if you like. Prob cost u the same as spitfires.

Or go all out and design a whole new ignition setup like some have done.

I preferably want something that is compatible to the powerfc and ignition settings it can adjust. But I'll order another amplifier and try the stock coils and see how it runs.

I have a set of perfectly functioning stock coils at home for $250.00

there is another brand of coils available. FET. ther are direct replacements like splitfires.

i run around the 400rwkw area but increasing shortly using stock coils but with the Autronic CDi... so with any igntition controller good cond., stock ones should be fine
