Amrs Round 2 - Calder Park March 25

Jack, Archie and myself went down to Calder park yesterday to watch Round 2 of the 2007 Australian Motor Racing series. http://www.amrs.net.au/r2-07.htm

Thanks to Python Racing we were guest's for the day. It was great watching the GT InterMarque category, and the touring cars, good racing action. The IMC races featured a Viper, Ferrari 360, Porsche GT2, Porsche 996 GT3, couple of Maserati Trofeo's and George Vidovic's almighty Python Cobra v8

Wow - LM Vipers and Trofeo Maseratis, that's my kind of grid!

Was booking the 430 in for a service yesterday and they had a GT/Challenge spec 430 coupe there. Very nice.

Was a tops day!!! Saw some serious piece of machinery!!!!

Was great watching the 10 lap race in the Intermarque challenge, George Vidovic is a good friend of mine and certainly put on a show. Especially how close it was with the porsche (993)GT3 cup car, it was better under brakes and cornering but the Python Cobra (orange car) certainly had the horses to overtake it on the straights, they changed positions about 20 times in the 10 lap race... Ended up beating him by 0.02sec, PHOTO FINISH!!!

Round 3 of the AMRS is at Winton April 28th & 29th if anyone wants to come and check it out.

yeah i have been trying to get to the winton round but have been unable to sort out any transport to the track from Melbourne, anyone know if there are any busses ect that go near the track?

THERE WILL BE AN ASTON MARTIN RACING AT WINTON!!!! its last years British GT championship winning car

It arrives here on the 24th and will be out on track
