Well, I hate Rivette, some (unt broke into this last night and stole the screen. Someone please take this thing off me, Ill take $1400 for whats left in it. The quater window will be replaced and the ignition barrel which they stuffed will also be replaced.

Also if anyone knows anything, or who the dodgy **** WITS are who keep stealing **** in that area, please let me know.

Cheers guys. It seems they did a few cars in the area, so i dont think it was specifically targeted. Thanks heaps stinky poo, if we come across anything, Ill give you a bell.

As it would turn out, they broke the quater window and that is all so far. They had a go at the steering lock, but they couldnt break it and didnt damage it. The ignition barrel wasnt stuffed after all, just tight from the steering lock.

The thing that pissed me off the most, was that they stole the CD holder out of the stacker, but not the whole thing. Its like rubbing dirt in your face when they do that shit.

All in all, it could have been a lot worse, but still really shitty.

Already have a replacement quater window and seal.

little cu#*s...

what a shitty thing to do. I hate thieves i think if you catch them you should be able to shout them to a round of broken arms.

these little pricks are a drain on society and need to be sterilized so they cant breed.

Yep, if i were to find them, it would be a case of vigilante, the cops cant do shit without solid proof. Also, since I work as a security patrol guard, I have noticed a lot more break and enters in the last few days, so lock up guys and gals and keep an eye out.

Well, luckily the ignition barrel and drivers door lock are fine and the window they actually got in through has been replaced. We also thought that the stacker insert had been stolen, but it turns out it just needs a headunit that can control the stacker and it will work fine.

So all in all, they got a big CD wallet and my LCD head unit, the rest is now fine. It could have been worse.

Does anyone know how hard it is to go from ACT to NSW rego? I've not had to do it before - I'm guessing it'll be a blue slip.

If it had to do a "pit inspection" how do you think it'd fair? I've gotten some pretty rough looking stuff through before.

If no one else posts i'll ask my mum in a few hours, she transferred her car from ACT to NSW a few months back. I've been putting it off because i've been told they are a lot stricter and also im not sure how i would be affected by the NSW p-plater laws (no turbo cars for p-platers)

It shouldnt be hard to transfer.

This thing wont have much trouble if any passing. It doesnt leak oil, ti doesnt leak any fluids for that matter. Pretty new brakes (rotors and pads), also comes with 3 months rego!! I need it gone, so make an offer.

First comes the green slip which is your CTP, can be organised with your car insurer, once you have this you take your car to an approved car inspector (call NSW RTA for a list) for your blue slip (costs 50-75). Next, take the green and blue slips to the RTA with old plates to get your new plates, they will give you a receipt on your old plates which you send to the ACT government for a refund on any extra registration/CTP you might have left (so if you transferred from ACT to NSW with 3 months rego left, you would get a refund on those 3 months + a refund on the CTP you pay as part of ACT registration)

Speaking of rego and all that shizzle... my mate put his car through rego (NSW) for the usual inspection, and they found that his car's (FTO) VIN number was recorded in Victoria. I laughed. His car has some sort of temporary rego for the time being while the investigate. I shall keep everyone posted - if they care. If not, I'll just blurt it out in 'one word association'.

    • Also had a look at the Nissan JP website looks like the 400r has a slightly shorter ratio than than the regular V37 3.133 VS 2.937 which from a guy who has driven both 3.69 vs 4.11 ratios in the S15 is bugger all. Seems that the AUTO Z runs the same ratio as the 400R but can't find any info as to if its an open or LSD? More often than not the auto LSD is open
    • Do not replace the power steering lines with this stuff. If it's anything like the Chase Bays stuff it will leak and be worse than stock. The reason why the reservoir is on the LH/passenger side of the car is because that's just where the reservoir was most convenient to fit. Don't overthink this stuff. The intake/cold side of the engine is pretty busy on these cars. And again, the hardpipe is designed to be a janky power steering cooler. In theory you can replace it with a real power steering cooler but that's really only for track use where boiling the fluid is a distinct possibility. Start with the low pressure lines feeding the pump from the reservoir. Make sure there isn't a bunch of junk in the reservoir filter. Be careful to not get ATF all over the engine bay. I hate dealing with ATF spills, you can clean it up and the slightest crevice will still release more oil that can still drip over time. You also want to inspect for leaks before you make a mess and can't tell what happened. Most likely you have a leak somewhere that is allowing fluid out and air in. Failing that it's allowing air in but not fluid out. Only place I can really see that happening is on the low pressure side because the pump will pull a slight vacuum to draw fluid in. Everything after the pump is high pressure or lower pressure, approaching atmospheric by the time it returns to the reservoir.
    • I did a skidpan night at SMSP this week, it was much cheaper than $350. But yeah, you need to slap an LSD in that thing.  I put an OS Giken in the 370Z and it's f**king MARVELOUS even compared to Nissan's viscous LSD. So you're saying it's free now that it's a housing estate? 😂
    • Nah, the car seems to run exactly as it did prior, in saying this it does "seem" to be better down low, like more eager to rev, but that may be 100% placebo effect from intake noise But, I'm not worried about it at all, in the end it is a fairly low compression NA engine that has a well shrouded intake,  if it is getting hotter IAT I cannot notice anything negative performance wise from the seat of my pants thrashing it about on the street or sitting in traffic, so meh, car now now makes induction noise so I'm happy
    • Do you have an IAT sensor? It's worth checking it to see. You may be suprised how little gap you actually need to flood your engine with hot air. (I tape up my airbox for a reason) :p
