alright got my car dynoed few weeks ago and hit a awsome 220rwkw with 12psi, and stock internals.

ive been looking at bigger turbos lately and was wondering what would i need to hit around 300rwkw?

ive recently also purchased injectors and a fuel pump for the new turbo (but havnt put it on yet) and was wondering would the RB25DET NEO need a engine rebuild? (cams, rods, ect ect) to keep up with 300kws?

so all i need is forged pistons? thats fine then i guess, oh and another question, how big will my injectors have to be to keep up with 300kws? i bought 525ccs and a 044 fuel pump.....they should last right?

and what other costs are involved? a mate of mine told me i had to take the whole engine out and machine out the old crap to fit in the new and that would cost around $1000. is this really needed? and what else would i possibly need to do?

Mate i think its time you called up somebody who does Heads & Blocks, cause your now going into never never land.

Contact flowcraft on 9361 2345, You cant just remove the old pistons and go in with the new..

You may want to Oring, Port and Polish, Shot peen, Put in a Stage 2 or 3 cam, heaps of things can be done to archive a proper rebuild in the end for a guesstimate your looking at $5000.

Around $15,000 is what you need if you want it reliable, otherwise it'll die sometime and your almost better off in a casino.

Same as all the other topics.

ECU - $1500

Turbo - $1800

Manifold - $1100

Motor rebuild - $8000 (includes new crank, oil/water pumps, pistons, general machining tidying up, motor in/out)

Clutch - $1200

Brakes - $1000

Injectors - $700

Fuel pump - $300

AFM - $300

Custom piping - $300

Exhaust - $1200

$17,700. Obviously take out what parts you already have to make the costs to what you need.

You wont need the rebuild right away in some cases, but either way you'll be doing it at some stage.

So if you cant afford the rebuild, dont chase the power. Its the basic rule of thumb for chasing power on stock motors.

Also factor into the case that you live in Melb and the legalities surrounding a modified car.

Your a P-plater... You will get dicked by the cops/EPA at some stage regardless of how you look at it.

So thats going to cost probably 5-7k to clear the defect.

If you ask me, just put a GCG hi-flow on there, a genuine 250rwkw and live a happy (reliable) life.

Thats more than enough for the street, the turbo is undetectable and you'll pass EPA/Roadworths easily.

If you want more detailed info (and there is plenty) - search.

Probly a Gt 35R turbo would do the job and the other goodies you have.

I have the GT 35R on mine running around the 320kw mark, but i also have a full forged rebuild.

I think its luck when you have stock internals and running that sort of power, its just a matter of a time BOMB.

How bout brakes & suspension? I'd consider an upgrade in those areas for that sorta power, pointless having that sorta power if u cant stop the thing or control it thru a corner. A driving course down ur local track would also be a worhwhile investment.

sheesh $8000 i wish people would pay that. u dont need a new crank we have made over 600kw

on prep'd standard cranks all day long. buy a decent set of rods instead

Well i would look at it from a point of view... if your going to do it.

Do it right. Although, i put the crank in there as most people will have the old style, which requires a collar... so its easier just to purchase a 33GTR one in the end most of the time.

Its not the issue of making the power on a stock crank, its which crank you choose to use

New crank = what $1000?

Collar = $300ish fitted?

+ machining of the crank

+ getting it checked/testing it and so-on for wear etc etc

 Its not far off, hence i just purchased a new crank. If you find your current one isnt so crash hot, then you've just done your dinner

Have you driven a car with that power output yet at all!?!?!?

Gees man, I hope your parents have you on their private healthclub membership.

Seriously - from all your posts here, I seriously hope now you have done at least a couple defensive driver training courses.

Sorry for hijacking the thread - but f**k me, you are going to hurt yaself.
