Great Ocean Road Experience

hi guys, this Easter will be my first time going on the Great Ocean Road trip *where have I been?*. Just wondering from anyones experience any great accommodation. Thanks guys + gals

ive stayed in lorne, and skenes creek, and both are very nice

lorne oviously has more tourists, but its a nice place to stay, ive stayed at the caravan park on the left, just before you hit the main street, very nice in there, cabins are good. and ive stayed at the cumberland hotel on the main street (the orangey looking building). very nice in there also.

in skenes creek i stayed in a self serviced cabin, up in the hills. pretty good excep it was on a dirt rd in the hill, so my old r32 didnt like that very much.

out of those id say skenes creek, just because its more quiet, and its close to apollo bay.

lorne has more shopping etc, but theres way more people down there.

the drive to each of those places is absolutley sensational, as im sure everyone in here will agree.

I'd stay somewhere like Skenes Creek or Marengo. They are found either side of Apollo Bay, which is 20mins down from Lorne

You would wanna be booking places right now though Leon.

Its one of the peak times, other than Christmas, so lots of places are going to be full by now or very close to it.

hey man, if you dont get any were to staydown there for easter come and join SAU non-member (i am tho) on a cruiz down to apollo bay and back.

check out the events section in vic and gotto 2nd Great ocean road cruise for all the detales. and if you wona join the mini meet which leaves from bell st maccas preston go to the mini meet thread.

both events are on the 7th of april.

I stayed in Seperation Creek with my wife not long ago, its between Lorne and Apollo Bay. Here's a link, it was very nice high up on a hill with ocean views.

I was thinking of it, but my gf and I are planning to go on the 6th. The Seperation Creek looks very very nice!
