after getting a defect for my car, i was searching for someone who can make air boxes. after finding somenone i asked the supplier if they would mind organizing a GB for Skylines Australia. and they were more then happy to agree.

i bought my airbox for $300 and was made out of Full Wet Carbon Fibre and is a absolute banger!!!! looks crazy, gives you a heat shield for your pod to get those extra kws and prevents defects

his willing to drop the price to $280 delivered Australia wide if we can get 20+ people.

you have the choice of Wet or Dry Carbon Style Air Boxes.

im in the mist of getting pics so hang tight.

Interested... Im abit concerned about the box retaining heat as im pretty sure carbon fibre has high retention of heat...

Although I know carbon is used for brakes .. so I could be wrong?

the carbon is made to withstand engine bay heat, unless youve got moultn lava in your car then it should be fine lol, the box is to prevent hot air, not hot metal or anything else. so your good to go

Do you mean prepreg when you refer to "dry" layup?

Also keen to see some pics to make a decision.

Thanks

not sure ether but he showed me a Dry Carbon which was a lil more textured then the wet carbon (gloss finish)

thats best as i can explain it, dosnt make a difference at all, just how it looks

Also very interested....How does it work does he make up a pattern of your set-up then mould a box to suit or are they more of a generic thing?

his custom made his own boxes for each model of car (32, 33, 34, Silvia range and more)

and if you got a custom setup in your bay he can mould one specificly for your car, but thats never really needed unless you got something in the way.

these from topstage?

I was just wondering that myself because Topstage only yesterday posted on NS.com they are going to have some CF airboxes for 33's & 34's up & going soon..

This product doesnt protect against defect notices in Victoria Andru.

Pod filters are legal in vic mate, as long as you dont have a FMIC as well.

And if you have one of these air boxes and a FMIC you can still be defected...
