My car is misfiring on idle and my mechanic thinks that the coil packs need to be cleaned.

I was thinking of doing this myself over the weekend.

Can anyone shed some light on what I need to do i.e. remove coil packs, open them up? clean with electrical cleaner?

Also, why I am there I am thinking of doing a health check on them. Is there anything I need to look out for such as hair line cracks or running a voltmeter on them?

Thanks in advanced.

Check the ACC first (tutorial here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...10431&st=0)

Solved so many of my problems just doing that.

Use the search function, theres a tutorial on removing/cleaning the packs aswell
