Hi,

i recently purchases an AP Racing Brake Kit for my ECR33 :):D

The kit comes with front and rear calipers and discs, braided brake lines and brake pads. what i am wondering is if it would be in my best interested to upgrade my brake master cylinder when i go to install the kit? I know AP Racing make brake master cylinder but im not sure if there is one for the R33, or the other option is using an r33 gtr brake master cylinder?

Also i was looking on the net for some information about the kit i bought but was unable to find anything  is there a website which lists all the different kits they have for sale? (i check the ap racing webpage but it wasnt much help :))

ohh i believe the code for the calipers or the kits is :AP5200

thanks Michael :)

Well the answer to your question (& you probably won't like it) is to talk to the people who sold you the kit. On the assumption it was Racebrakes or similar they should be able to help you out quite quickly.

There is very little good info on the net with regard to matching up brakes/master cylinders.

The CP5200 is a 4 piston caliper with 49.5cm2 of piston area. What rotor are you running it on. Also, what have you got at the rear?

Fluid? I use Motul RBF600. 600 degree dot 4 fluid. About $28 for 500ml. Probably best to buy two bottles.

thanks for the reply :O i've bought the kit from japan, so its hard to get information out of the buyer lol :D

i'm pretty sure the front rotors are 323 slotted ap racing. the rear is 2pot ap racing calipers and ap racing rotors.

is there a place in perth, i can take it so someone can tell me what they are? as they come with pads but im abit unsure what brand they are

Well my guess would be they are probably the 332mm rotors, either 28mm or 32mm thick.

Probably Perth Brake Parts is as good a place as any. If the brake pads aren't new I would be replacing them anyway. If they are new it will be pretty easy to identify them. Have a look at the AP racing site for the pads that suit the caliper you have. There is a whole list for the CP5200's.

Did the kit come with adaptors? Also what about braided lines?
