All the trackdays i usually go to are with circuit club, can't be pleased more with there trackdays

-Timing is included (free of charge)

-Cars are split into groups A B C D usually 10-15 cars per group so the track isn't overloaded with cars at one time

-Lockup Garages(Use to be provided at wakefield but ithink this is no longer available since the new owners of wakefield park) - free of charge

They usually have a few guys that can show you the lines and braking points for beginners.

Prizes to the fastest guys of the day

Also their days are usually on weekends or public holidays if you intend on going book 3-4weeks in advanced because by the last 2 weeks they are usually sold out.

If you go with these guys you won't be disappointed, been around for YEARS a very well organised group.

The only tack days i've ever been to are Circuit club ones.. or open daysat wakie!

They are an awesome bunch of guys and the days are always very well organised!! Plus you get freebies like water bottles and stickers etc... plus the prizes! :) Last one i went to i won fastest rear wheel 6 cyl.. got 10% off brakes! (yes i had to show off a lil and add this line in) :stupid:

Circuit club also don't charge for spectators, which I feel is very important. Spectating is a great way to be introduced to track driving as a whole, introduced to a track if you haven't driven on that particular one, or introduced to how a particular organisation runs a track day. Some people (such as myself) err on the cautious side.

Spectating is great promotion for the company, because once the people see how fun it is, they'll want to enter nexttime.

e.g. I was thinking about spectating at the sau drift day, but i was turned away by the entry fee.

I was with ray at the last circuit club trackday spectating, and the day was run very well. Much better than initial drift trackdays.

Somethings that I observed were:

The people there are very nice people. They are genuine car enthusiasts, and are willing to help you out with advice/fix your car if it's broken etc. There aren't really many bogans driving shitboxes out there, so it's fairly safe. Having said that, there was a crazy person driving an s2000 that kept spinning, but everyone else was very sensible.

There are no bogans on the hill spectating like at initial drift events. Also, initial drift charge you for spectating

The organisers of the event are very friendly, and speak nicely to you, considering YOU ARE THE PEOPEL WHO PAY THEM! In contrast, at the intial drift trackday, you get some nazi speaking to the group like you act stupid, I send you home, you spin out, I send you home, you crash someone, I send you home. There is no need to act all tough making himself look like a penis head, when that stuff is common sense, and it really detracts from the experience.

LOL... i take you dont really like Initial Drift that much. aswell as $10 entry fees.

I've been to their EC track day last August. The day ran very smoothly and they were also very quick to update the participants with the official timing results via email after the trackday.

I would recommend their track days to anyone who would like to have a bit of fun at trackside. (the availability of driving instructors was pretty generous with 1~2 instructors available all the time)

well it looks like I'll be coming to this one. I was supposed to be running in the state super sprints round 2 this weekend but the entry list filled up fast and I missed out :huh: gutted.

BUT this day should take the pain away :D

bring me a 6 pack for after. lol.

Car should be going nicely. >_< and If I really pull my finger out I'll be able to fit my 34 GTR brembos in time. but I think I might just run my current set-up for this day.

yeah, light intermittent showers wont call it off, but if it's raining heavily with no sign of clearing and standing water on the track they will call it off.

so who was there today flying the SAU flag? I woke up this morning, saw the weather and decided to give it a miss. I'm a bit pissed as I was supposed to run at EC on Sunday for the super sprints, but got bumped out, and it was raining, then thought, oh well, I'll do the circuit club day, and again, raining. So I'm dead keen for either an EC day or an Oran Park GP day sometime in the next 2 weeks.
