HID Lighting

Hi

Has any here put HID Lighting in their cars?

My car has the facility but I am unable to source a spare globe (similar to the globes pictured to the right of the attachment).

Has anyone got any suggestions/ideas on where I can look? Marlows/Repco have no clue.

Yeah, http://www.hella.com.au/, that have the H4's, but they look different.

Even try a lamp specialist shop if you have a part number or manufacturer - Lamp Replacements, Pro Lamps they can often get specialist bulbs in alot cheaper.

After many months searching, found spare bulbs at SRS Auto (Sydney)

Cheers - I don't think many people in Perth have aftermarket HID Kits....?...

If anyone has a HID Kit in their car, please PM me? Does the headlight need to be adjusted as they are pretty damn bright..

From what I know, cars that are equipped with HIDs need to be auto-adjustable or at least manually adjustable. Most HID cars are also equipped with headlight washers. Not sure if thats a must or not.

Philips and bosch make a good HID kit but pretty ex since they are mostly OEM on german cars. Ichiyo (sp?) or catz from japan makes kit as well.

My mate installed the ichiyo on his civic and looks good.

Is your mates kit on the Civic roadworthy? ie doesn't blind other drivers? Did he have to get it re-adjusted or any special housing assembly put in?
