Have you taken it off and looked if there are any of the ridges left on the inside, where the arm connects to the motor?

I've had that problem on one of my old cars, when I took the arm off and looked in the hole, all the ridges were worn down, preventing the two parts from gripping. I found tightening the nut worked for a quick short term fix, but the problem just gets worse untill you go to the wrecker and get a replacement wiper arm for about 5 or 10 bucks.
