Well my PowerFC has finally arrived so im now at the stage of getting it installed and tuned. I just have NFI about what a good price is for installation and tune.

Some ppl have told me around the $1,500 mark, whilst others say its a bit steep. What are your thoughts?

I've also checked out the workshop thread and have been recommended to give Ben @ RacePace a go. What are your thoughts?

Yep, Ben seems to be the name that's always popping up. Looks like Ben would be the way to go....

What price range would i be looking at ya rekon for installation and tuning from RacePace?

Not too sure, give him a buzz for a quote...

$1500 lmao...anyone that charges that could/should be arrested for theft..

$400-$700 I'd say, with $700 being racepace dollars

Also, 'installing' a pfc....if they say they're going to charge to 'install' it, then do it yourself...it takes about 2 minutes...

ahhhk k ...i thought i read in a thread somewhere u had to do something extra with wiring, something about turbo's :S LoL, i dunno.

Well, im just waiting on the Z32's and i'll be throwing them on....and seeing as the pfc is easier than i thought i'll do that too.

Does the pfc come pre-programmed as "stock" so i can drive it to the workshop? I know i gotta set it to Z32 afm's, but i think thats all yer?

go to protek there cheap. pfc install and dyno will cost you 400

you can install the pfc and drive it, just don't thrash it....driving normally should be fine. It'll take you a few minutes to install it at the workshop when you go there for the tune, if you don't want to drive around on the base tune

Yer thats prob my best option...

Cheers :)

Yeah I think $1500 is a bit steep. Call Ben, you'll have no regrets...

Yep don't' fu(k round with other tuners (not saying there are not other good tuners, just haven't experienced any yet), take it Ben. I took mine there last week to have fu(k up's from another tuner fixed and couldn't be happier. Can runs better that it EVER has. More power right through the rev range and go's like a rocket. Extra 30kw or more at the wheels. I'd budget at least $800.

I think it shouldn't cost more than $600 for everything, its plug n play after all and i know chasers in footscray tune cars for around $450 providing theres no major dramas they come across... its all an hourly thing so less time = less money (usually)
