On the page I linked it's the 'SEARCH FOR A RAW' option you can use to find out who can comply a car, straight off DOTARS.

Your link (RAWS Australia) is a non-govt source, so may not be up to date.

oh sweet. Thanks!!!

i was looking at this website

http://www.raws.com.au/SEVSRulingC.asp?RulingID=031 might not be the right one :D

I think you will find that they cannot do Series I and II - only later models!. A 'phone call will confirm.

I'm definatley getting a series 2.

with all the options  leather, dual sun roofs etc etc etc.

been looking today but no luck yet :pirate: can only find one with leather but unsure if its turbo model. and its black, i dont think i could own another black car

It is likely to be a high spec turbo model, as there are limited numbers of each type of vehicle allowed to be imported under the SEVS scheme, and a base model with few features is unlikely to be worthwhile to bring in, (i.e. not enough profit to be worthwhile), or difficult for the RAW to convince DOTARS that it classifies as a SEV (Specialist or Enthusiast Vehicle).

If you want to know what constitutes a SEV here is a link to the relevant section of the DOTARS website http://www.dotars.gov.au/roads/motor/sevs/index.aspx

????

Once DOTARS has added a vehicle to the register, there is no restrictions on what and what can not be brought in so long as complies to these requirements. For the C34 Stagea, so long as it is either an RB25DET or RB26DETT engined variant, it will be allowed (subsequent to meeting SEVS accident, etc criteria).

just buy mine, grade 4, manual, already in the country, 12 months rego, 200Kw atw .........etc etc etc

maybe if you are gonna keep it stock for the whole time you are driving it, but if you are gonna mod it in any way, or start lusting after a manual (like almost all of us do) then you will save a bucketload by buying Andy's.

*free plug just to feel the luuuuuurve*

I know exactly what you mean! i cant afford to modify another car!

i am sick of using a clutch and having one leg bigger than the other, i am sick of shifting gears, and i think i need a tow car without going back to an old 4wd again..

and i want all the electronics and options of what the stagea is going to give me  leather, dual roofs, automatic!! oh how i dream of an automatic! comfort! something the gtr definatley never will have! and a back seat!!!!! haha the first thing any girl says when they jump into the gtr is wheres the back seat!! and i think i want to be able to park my car anywhere and not worry :(

now do you think i can get all that for under 500000Y??

    • OK. But what about parts of the block that, when assembled, were twisted into a position that pushed into the void space, which, when disassembled, then released that force and opened back up, thus putting the grout into tension? Would effectively just pull the cast iron off the grout at the interface, leaving a tiny void and benefitting not much at all. Swings, and roundabouts. It's like putting something tiny into the fleshlight and finding out you needed a smaller one, to perhaps follow your area of expertise.
    • Nah. You buy a kit that has shorter tubes.
    • I didnt present too many conclusions because I wanted your opinions and feedback based on your own experiences. I don't know the exact material, but it is similar to concrete and therfor only has valuable strength in compression. The forces on the set material once the head is removed would mostly be in compression since the grout wants to retain its shape and the block wants to return to its relaxed state since it's still within the elastic region. The grout would theoretically make the block more rigid. The exact amount would take a better setup on my end. Thought experiment: Instead of aliens, twist your favorite fleshlite. Now fill it with grout and allow it to sit for a week. Now try to twist it again. Observe what you see. Now get your other one and blow into it. Observe what you see. Now put it into a can and fill the space between your fleshlite and the can. After it sets blow into it. Less movement in torsion and less expansion i hope.
