What Shocks To Buy For R34 4 Door (na)... ?

Just got a 4 door R34 (non turbo), and the stock shocks seem pretty shagged...especially the rears, bottoming out fairly often, rough ride...etc

so am up for replacement, but just wondering what brands / type i should be looking at?? ive been told monroes / pedders will be a waste of money, and to go for kyb / koni or IF i can afford it , some sort of coilovers...

not really sure which way to go, but dont wanna spend TOO much on it, the car is daily driven, but i wouldnt mind if it handled a bit better !

I'm sure most people would recommend KYB's/Koni's over Monroe's or Pedders products. When I was searching last month for new suspension not many companies had replacement shocks for NA HR34's. From memory both KYB and Koni didn't have have anything for HR34's and I'm not sure if there will be any coilover options out there either with HSD, ISC catering for ER34 but nothing listed for HR34's.

My advice, search through the suspension company websites product lists, send e-mails or make phone calls to them. Another option is to search the For Sale section on SAu and see if something come up.

You have to remember reggie you have a GT-V model which means you can buy any suspension meant for a GT-T.

Also yours should be an ER34 as well. I ran mine through fast and it came up ER34.

yeah i know chris, mine comes up as ER34 on FAST also. I just didn't want to confuse him with my car being NA but with turbo spec suspension fitted from factory.

damn, so in the group buy are those bilsteins for R34 GT T's only ?? or will they fit on an GT sedan as well ??

someone told me koni do make shocks for my particular model?? just trying to find out prices ???

Yours is the 25GT version so you will need the NA shocks for it.
