Clutch Problems Exedy

hey, i got a new exedy heavy duty clutch installed about 2weeks ago, its a 5 puk.

im running fully stock r32. When i first got in the car the clutch was really bitey but after launching off at 5,000rpm i noticed nearly straight away its no way near as bitey. Has anyone here got any clues or ideas? cheers

How soon after installing did you give it a 5k clutch drop? I was told to take it easy at the start with the new clutch we put in on the weekend, kinda bed it in.

u probly f*ked it. ur supposed to give it time to wear in before u do stuff like that. and theres no warranty on it if uve done that either

wen i got my new clutch i got told to run it in for 1000km's, to be on the safe side

u'll prolly find u've glazed the buttons on the clutch face. rip it out and have a look

rip them off, throw them away and put new ones on

not an expensive job mate, any clutch shop will be able to do it for you (jim berry or NPC in brisbane)

plus i dont think u can repair them once they've glazed over

itd be just like a glazed brake pad. give it a rub with some emery tape an see how it goes
