Time has come to part ways with my beloved bugeye.

Love this car to death and would not part with it but went for a dance in another and have decided to make the move to new pastures as it were.

December 2000 build MY01, first registered in April of 2001.

Blue/black in colour

107xxx kms travelled

All the usual WRX standard features, cruise control, climate control, electric windows & mirrors.

Dual action sunroof (god I will miss it!)

The car is always garaged, I have worked for myself since owning the car so the only time it is not garaged is when it is in use.

The winner of the WRX Club show and shine "best Bugeye" other club members will attest to it's finish, I am a self confessed "anally retentive owner" and it is always washed & waxed.

The car will be sold with most of the performance modifications intact, these include:

SMT6 piggy back chip

AVO cast collector

AVO stainless steel down pipe

AVO stainless steel race cat

HKS Hi Power cat back Stainless steel exhaust

AVO silicone intake pipe

Samco intercooler pipe kit (Y-pipe, BOV return pipe & throttle body pipe)

Carbon fibre STi bonnet scoop

02 STi splitter

DBA 5000 2 piece rotors

RB74 brake pads

Calipers painted metallic dark grey with orange writing (have just been rebuilt)

Lowered springs (on standard struts)

Brand new windscreen

STi fog light covers

Camber bolts to front & rear

Clear indicators

Colour coded reflectors

Alpine 6.5 inch splits on custom mounts, both front doors have been sound deadened with dynamat.

STi floor mats

The car has been dynoed at AVO for a peak of 156kW @ wheels. This is on standard boost, the power comes from the breathing mods only not simply cranking up the boost!!!

100k service has been done at 98k kms so the expense has been taken care of ($1000 right there!)

There are some things that I need to do before any inspections from interested parties but I wanted to get the ball rolling so to speak.

Not all the photos are indicative of the cars current state, so please be aware of a few things:

Personalised plates are not included in the sale

Black WORK Emotions are not included (MY01 17's will be re-fitted before sale)

It now has the standard grill & STi foglight covers and will be incuded.

I have an asking price of $26 500.

(registration as per forum rules BXRPWR, note they are not for sale with the vehicle)

With all the extra's (approx $6000+ worth) and condition I feel that is a reasonable benchmark, offers around this mark will be considered.

On with the photos, more will follow when I have the time to take them!!

Mate...hope you can take criticism ...but how did that car win the Wrx Club 2006 award? ....look pretty bog standard to me..apart from the rims?? I've personally seen way modded cars than that.

Dont take it the wrong way aight...it looks like a very clean car.

Leave the useless comments out of this thread and let the man sell his car.

All three of you have been issued warnings - Read the rules before you post in the FS section again

Body looks straight and clean? Any photos of the interior? Bug Eye, GRRRR. Not my favourite of the WRX's.

I can certainly put some more photos up, for you.

As for the other comments you will have to ask the 100+ WRX club members that voted for my car.

Price drop to 25,500 ono with aftermarket parts, or will consider 22,000 ono returned to stock.

If people would like to PM me regarding parts I will start a list of interested parties and if the car is sold stock they will be listed for sale in the parts section.

Good luck kooky one nice sexy bugeye. seen it on warrigal rd yesterday.

for all u guys out there that wanna bag the car out keep ur comments to yourself.

Bump for one sexy car

    • And at over $2 per litre I'm starting to consider setting up a corn mash still and converting over to alcohol and running mine on it !  Up side of that is it all doesn't have to go into the car ! Win win !
    • H2 (for cars) will never happen. It's not reasonable for any number of reasons. It's also not reasonable for almost all of the industrial uses that the fanbois say that it will be used for, again for a large number of reasons. There are some cases where it will be good. But, even those will be massively hampered by the economics. The only way that H2 can be economic is if we somehow manage to get from where we are to the other side of the economic-valley-of-death in which no-one can operate. You need there to be sufficient renewable generated electricity to be available so that it is effectively free. Once you are there, you can do whatever the hell you want and hang the efficiency. But until you get there, the ever diminishing value of electricity makes it harder and harder to encourage businesses to build the new generation capacity, and they will simply stop investing in generation projects. (I kinda think there needs to be just government money spent on building the required capacity in a non-commercial way, similar to how the first fossil fueled grids were built, as national-government owned utilities. And probably some nuclear in there to start. But this all should have started 10-15 years ago to avoid the chasm of death that we face right now). Synth fuels will be much more likely, but will only occur is there is at least some renewable H2 production, because you need H2 to do it. And you need stacks of free (or at least extraordinarily cheap) energy because assembling molecules back into fuels is exactly the opposite process to burning the fuel, and the reason we burn fuels is because there is so much energy squeezed into each molecule. So you're somewhat subject to the same economic valley of death problem as above anyway. That is unless people are willing to pay the current equivalent of $5 or $6 per litre of petrol-ish liquid fuels. Can you imagine it? The squealing at $2 now is bad enough.
    • This is so cool. Get a dashcam that records audio and hopefully you'll catch it.  Maybe there's a brand or some kind of markings on the back ? Are the pics hand drawn? I love it so much.
    • Hahaha yep, point(s) taken. I just like seeing different things and an EV in an R32 is pretty different. I'm not on the EV band wagon, I'm waiting for synthetic fuels or hydrogen personally.
