yes.. gettin bomex rear.. i mite put carbon gt wing, but still thinking hard..lol

who thinks it look better with wing or not..

sometime i just like it plain but..

definitely needs a wing to balance the heavy looking bodykit. if you want to keep it plain a gt wing would be too much. go for a r34 gtr spoiler thats what im getting a replica.

Hi Alien

Great Pics mate!! Black really fits the Impul front bar. Seen white colour but look plain too. For me was the opposite as i got mine 2nd hand which was previously black in colour. Somehow the lines didn't come out in that colour. Btw this is a complete veilside kit (Front, side & rear). I just played around with the black matt colour in certain parts so that the lines would show more prominently plus too much white can make everything loong humongous. Plus it would be an easy fix ($5 can spray) should i scratch it over speedhumps.

Going away on a trip for a week, hope to fit the CF bonnet after that. Post more pics ya....

Regards everyone...Cheers!

thanks mate. I just realized that that rear bar probly wont look even close to good as it does on your car cose its white and the black spray really stands out. Still nicer then my genuine nismo rear bar. Oh well, can't get R34 Veilside kit in AU anyways. I've done a bit of additions to the car since those pics were taken. I just don't take pics of the car anymore as it is always dirty and i'm busy with other things hehe CF bonnet will look porno on urs, hopefully the ZTune style.

Since this is the "R34 Bodykit" thread, I will post my question here instead of starting a new thread.

Does anyone know where I can get a TOP SECRET style front bar and a pair of IMPUL side skirts in Sydney? (I dont mind copies and these are for my gtt)

A recommended workshop to properly install them? preferably on the north shore.

I have tried both SRS Auto and GT Autostyle, they were very slow on reply and seemed not too keen to do business.

Cheers

Hi Forged , i believe Jetspeed in Sydney have a Top Secret Front Bar for GTR im sure they can mod to fit 34 GTT, hope that helps, im also looking at a Top Secret front bar for my 34 as well.

have a great day.

Hi mate, I finally got in contact with GT autostyle they do have a top secret bar to fit gtt. takes a week to make and are made locally some where in Sydney (thats a plus). should fit better than carmate's stuff.

Allen the guy I spoke to reckons he could do COD for $550 which is on par with justjap's offering, not sure if they have the same source though.

last time i bought front bar for my lancer from gt auto style..

they deliver to your house, but not 100% fit properly aswell.. such a big gap on the headlight..

also they bought their kit from newstyle motorsport,

but they closed down so dont know..

99% on getting a rear spoiler... hey forged :ninja:

i'm think that R34's are very hard to get away with, without a spoiler, unless absolutely slammed on big rims, with the same "height" kit all the way around...

do you think the car needs a spoiler?

The car looks neat from this angle especially in black. i think you get away with dewinged look in dark color r34s since they make the car look sleeker, compared to white or yellow which would look nose heavy without a spoiler.

nice complete kit you've got there though. GTR nose? is it your car?

P.S. yep the spoiler is on its way :)

man there are some nice r34s going around now.

im currently also after the Bonnet Lip to seal up the gap between the GTR bonnet and the front bar.

heres a pic of mine if u guys havnt seen. i decided to choose the path of the GT wing. let me know wat u think

What have you done to your headlights, they look sweet!

Nice pics anDru, I think Stan (satanic) had one for sale in the FS section not long ago, have a look.

I'm usually not a fan of the bomex kit but when its in black it actually looks not bad. And I was wondering what my car would like look if it was raised too high (need to raise it cos front is way too low) but after seeing that I'm going to jack it up to 360/350 no hesitation, its currently 345/345.

glad to be of some use there andi lol. but as for the bonnet lip im after an entirely different thing then wat satanic is selling.

this is wat satanic is selling

r34_bon.jpg

this is wat i want

r34_eyeline3.jpg

$480 for the one you want andru and $269 for satanic one from powerplay

the one from powerplay is a different one aswell.

this is the powerplay one.

untitled1cg8.jpg

as u can see its alot thinner and sharper in style. and costs $480. watta bloody rip off, i could buy 2 whole bars with that.

i dont understand why powerplays products are like 500% more exspensive then everyone else.

they are selling stock R33 GTSTs for 35g. and everyone told me my r34 was to exspensive pffft

    • Is there a diameter difference in the stock to Nismo? If so, the weight alone won't be indicative when comparing flywheels of the same diameter, since the radius of the flywheel acts on the moment of inertia with a square factor, where as mass is linear. Roughly going from a 4.5kg flywheel with radius 20cm, to a 9kg flywheel with radius 14cm would see them act the same. This calc is just here to act as a brief numbers comparison and reflects no actual RB flywheel diameters etc. it also assumes even weight distribution (thickness) throughout.
    • It seems this could be due to a restructure/team direction change... Or... You're working with a different category of vehicle... Or you've decided you'd rather be able to play with your own cars again...   I'm hoping the latter...
    • had 4 weeks off over xmas and well did some stuff to the shed and BRZ, well short of is I don't work full time in supercars anymore as of yesterday.........
    • Did you get any down time over Christmas, or have you had any since to play with this? Or have you given up and are trying to get yourself a second hand V8SC instead?
    • A random thought I had just before I hit "Submit on this post". If brake fluid, in a container in my garage that has never been opened goes bad after 18 months, why can I leave it in my car for 24 months in an "unsealed container"... Secondly, some other digging, and brake fluid manufacturers seem to be saying 5 year shelf life... Me thinks there line on 18 months for an unsealed bottle is pretty much horse shit marketing spin. Kind of like how if you drive a car and don't run a turbo timer your turbo and motor will die horribly...   Where I started on this though... Someone (me) started down a bit of a rabbit hole, I don't quite have the proper equipment to do Equilibrium Reflux boiling per the proper test standards. I did a little digging on YouTube, and this was the first video I found on someone attempting to "just boil it". This video isn't overly scientific, as we don't have a known reference for his test either. Inaccuracy in his equipment could have him reaching the 460 to 470f boiling point range in reality. In the video, using a laser temp gun, he claims his Dot3 that's been open in his florida garage for over a year gets to about 420 to 430 fahrenheit (215 to 221c) Doing some googling, I located an MSDS for that specific oil, and from new, it claims a dry boiling point of 460 to 470f. Unfortunately they don't list a wet boiling point for us to see how far it degraded toward its "wet" point. While watching it I was thinking "I wonder what the flash point is..." turns out its only 480f for that specific brake fluid....   As for testing the oil's resistance, I might not be able to accurately do that unfortunately. Resistance level will be quite a LOT higher than my system can read I suspect based on some research. However, I might be able to do it by measuring the current when I apply a specific voltage. I won't have an actual water % value, but I'll have some values I can compare between the multitude of fluids. I'll run some vague calculations later and see if I should be able to read any reliable amount of current. These calcs will be based on some values I've found for other oils, and see how close I'll need my terminals together. From memory I can get down to 1pA accuracy on the DMM. I don't think my IOT Power Tester has any better resolution.
