hey mate, this thread is more suited to general maintenance than NSW general.

FTR, I use Motul Chrono 300V 10W40 engine oil, Motul RBF600 brake fluid (not needed if yours is jsut a street car), redline lightweight shockproof gear oil, nissan matic D attessa fluid and redline oil in the diffs too (i forget which one I used).

Everyone has their own preferences. I was using motul 8100. Worked wonders. My engine is spotless inside. Underneath the cam covers, everything is as clean as the day it was built.

I've just gone to elf excellium fully synth. that's supposed to be good as well. The motul used to cost me $52 for 5L. The elf is 45, so i'm just trying it.

I'm a big fan of the 8100. However my local parts store stopped carrying it and only has ELF now. ELF is quite good, but it seems to start burning off after a few thousand Ks - done 4500 on this oil change and it was almost down to L on the dipstick. With the motul I could drop it after 5000km and get almost as much out as I put in. Maybe I'm just driving harder now though :D

I've been reading up on this as I need to do the same thing. From the other threads on this topic (I used the search button) I've noted the following fluids for a street car setup:

Engine Oil: Motul 300V 10W40

Gearbox Oil: Redline Lightweight Shockproof (Not recommended if you have a freshly rebuilt gearbox)

Rear Diff: **Must use an LSD Oil** Redline 80W140

Front Diff: Nissan Matic D or Redline Lightweight Shockproof

Transfer Case: Nissan Matic D

Brake Fluid: Dot 4.1

Injector cleaner: Redline SI-1

The engine oil is discussed alot with other brands also recommended. Do a search if you want to read more.

You can load Redline's recommendations from here: http://www.redlineoil.com.au/oil-finder.asp
